Thank you for your prompt response to our need for a resolution in time for our event
on August 13th. I just faxed over the bike routes, the insurance rider naming Southold
Town and our flyer for Bike What's Left for your records.
We will add the "Rules of the Road" as part of our introduction to all cyclists on the day
of the event. Thank you again for your kind courtesy.

I just received a response from the Police Department. The Chief states that they have no
objections to the event since they are not needed to provide traffic control. He did request,
however, that your organization review the rules of the road with ail cyclists involved as a
safety feature.
I will place a resolution on the next TB agenda which will be held on August 2. As I stated
previously, the TB normally approves these events when the PD has no objections, so I
foresee no problem.

Thank you so much for your prompt attention. We are offering an 18-mile Poop
for more skilled riders from Mattituck Train Station to Horton's Lighthouse,
coming back through Route 25 to New Suffolk. The other loop is a 10-mile
loop for families and more recreational riders that will start at Mattituck Train
Station and go through New Suffolk.
I will email you the exact streets of each route once I have them. Just waiting
to hear from the chair of our program committee.
Thank you again!

Unfortunately there was no way I could place a resolution on yesterday's agenda.
There will be a TB meeting prior to your event. I can't place a resolution on the
agenda for an event like yours without police approval. I have yet to see the TB vote
down a resolution if the PD okays the event, so once I get the okay from Chief
Flafiey I'll let you know so you can add it to your program I do need clarification
about the routes being used. Please provide the exact route for the 2 different rides
so I may incorporate them into the resolution.
Thank you

I sent a fax to you yesterday, early afternoon. The North Fork
Environmental Council was asking to be added to the agenda
yesterday, so a resolution could be enacted allowing us to conduct our
3rd Annual Bike What's Left on August 13th.
Inasmuch as our program may be scheduled before the next Town
Board Meeting, is there a way I can obtain a resolution in time for the
~lanned August 13th event?

Hi Linda,
I have no objections to this event taking place as we do not offer any services to bike rides in town as
a rule. Just a request that they review the rules of the road with all cyclists involved as a safety feature,
