INSTRUCTIONS
a. Tkis application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or

Dear Mr. Schwerdt:
Pursuant to your request for a Waiver of the Wetland Ordinance for
the construction of a deck on premises in Southold, please be advised
as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with
the premises in question and the surrounding area, and
WHEREAS, the Board has considered sll the documentation submitted
concerning this request, and
~EREAS, the Board made the following findings of fact:
1. By this request, appellant requests permission to construct
a open wooden deck, approximately I6' x 20' to an existing
residence on Cedar Avenue, Southold.
Accordingly, on motion made by Trustee Smith seconded by Trustee Goubeaud
it was
RESOLVED that Harold P. Schwerdt be and hereby is granted a Waiver of the
Wetland Ordinance as requested for the addition of a 16' x 20' open wooden
deck on property located on Cedar Avenue, Southold subject to the following
provisions: 1. Care should be taken so as to preclude the entry of any
construction material into the wetland area. 2. Immediately following
construction, all areas of exposed soil shall be protected with suitable
erosion control devices and/or vegetated.
