THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION NO. 2011-459 WAS
ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON
JUNE 21, 2011:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and directs
Supervisor Scott A. Russell to execute the Intermunicipal Agreement between the Town of
Southoid and the Village of Greenport in connection with seasonal parking enforcement
services by a designated Traffic Control Officer employed by the Town of Southold, subject to
the approval of the Town Attorney.

INTERMIJNICIPAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made the ~ day of June, 2011, between the
TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, Suffolk County, New York,
hereinafter designated as the "Town Board" and the VILLAGE OF GREENPORT,
Suffolk County, New York, hereinafter designated as the "Village".
WITNESSETIt:
WHEREAS, Southold Town Police Department provides law enforcement
services including traffic control and parking enforcement within the Town of
Southold, and:
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southold (the "Town Board"),
as Commissioners of the Police Department, duly authorized the Supervisor of the
Town of Southold to execute a contract with the Village for the provision of
seasonal parking enforcement services by a designated Traffic Control Officer
upon the terms and provisions set forth herein, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees ofthe Village duly authorized the
Village Mayor to execute a contract with the Town to provide seasonal parking
enforcement services by a designated Traffic control Officer under the terms and
conditions set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Village does engage the Town to furnish
parking enforcement services and the Town agrees to furnish such service as
follows:
1. The Town shall hire one (1) full-time seasonal Traffic Control Officer
("TCO") on or before June 7, 2011 who will be designated to patrol the
streets of Greenport Village to monitor and enforce compliance with the
parking laws of the Village.
2. The TCO shall at all times during the term of this Agreement be an
employee of the Town under the supervision of the Chief of Police.
3. The designated TCO's shall be employed eight (8) hours per day, five (5)
days a week for 12 weeks from June 13,2011 through September 2,
2011.
4. All costs that the Town will incur to employ the TCO at the weekly rate
of $770 shall be paid to the Town on or before June 10, 2011 by the
Village.
5. To the extent that the TCO is required to work more than 8 hours on any
given day, the Town will be reimbursed by the Village for overtime costs
at the rate of $29 per hour within fourteen (14) days of request by the
Town.

6. The term of the TCO's employment may be extended by the Town
Board upon request of the Village for a period not to exceed thirty (30)
days. In the event the term is extended, the Town shall be reimbursed
for all costs incurred for the additional employment on or before
September 2,2011.
7. The services provided by the Town to the Village hereunder shall be for
the term specified herein and this Agreement shall not be construed to
obligate the Town to provide such services in the future absent express
agreement by the Town Board.
