LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, MARCH 13, 2000
MINUTES
Present were:
Dick Ryan, Joe Krukowski, Reed Jarvis, Fred Lee,
Jim Pim, Melissa Spiro, Brian Murphy and Marian
Sumner.
A copy of the appraisal on the Goerler property was given to each
of the members so they could review it for the next meeting.
Wells gift - it was in the hands of the donor to come back with the
deed. Dick will contact Mr. Wells.
Agricultural Protection Strategy - Dick asked the members to come
back with some information on their assigned areas,
Noreen McKenna will send the secretary a copy of the draft letter,
which will be sent along with the brochure, Marian Sumner will give
a copy of the draft brochure to the secretary for distribution to the
Committee,
Melissa Spiro has been hard at work putting the information on a spread
sheet. She is trying to keep it up to date. It is a working document.
After every meeting she will up date it. She is open to any suggestions
from the Committee.
Shinn/Page property - Brian Murphy said they are closing on this
property on Monday, March 20, 2000.
Dick said he received a call from Ed Ernst and will try to meet with him,
Mr. Simendinger, his partner, along with Mellssa and Joe Krukowski.

There was a meeting with Jim Burke of the County Real Estate Department,
who is in charge of dealing with the towns. They have asked for a list
of 1500 acres of prime farmland. Hopefully, the Town would do the closings
and then submit to the County for reimbursement.
Cullinane application - Mrs. Young signed an owner's endorsement and it is
being sent off to her sister-in-law for her signature. The Committee was
in favor of Dick making an offer to Ms. Cullinane.
Caracciolo application - Dick has a copy of the contract on the Sidor
property. The Committee was in favor of Dick making an offer to Mr.
Caracciolo. Brian will recommend that the Town Board put this purchase
on the agenda for a public hearing. Dick will put a package together
for Mary and Greg.
The Supervisor has asked Dick to look at some property on Marion Lake
for possible open space purchase.
The next meeting of the Land Preservation Committee is scheduled for
Monday, March 27, 2000 at 7:30 p.m.
With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at
9:30 p.m.
