of Property: 21995 Soundview

Dear Sirs,
We have reconsidered the solution to our space problems related to the
appeal refered to above and have filed a new proposal with the Building
Department that we feel not only does not require Special Exception but
decreases the degree of non-conformance that may exist. We, therefore,
request that our application be withdrawn.
Thank you for your consideration up to this time

Gentlemen:
Attached are copies of notices we sent to our
neighbors.
We sent one notice to our neighbor to the east,
Werner Rosenberg, and another to Max Newbold.
Mr. Newbold owns the property just west of the
property adjacent to us on the west.
We have done this because Mr. Piscioneri and I
are the owners, with [Ir. Rosenberg, of the
property immediately west of us, and we felt
it would fulfill the spirit and intent of the
notice more properly to send a notice to the
first neighboring owner other than ourselves.

APplICATION FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION

hereby apply to THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS for a SPECIAL EXCEPTION in accordance with the
ZONING ORDINANCE ARTICLE ~ SECTION Z O~ -- ,,~ O,~4 ,~ /O~) - ~(~ ~
suEs TiON
THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED BECAUSE
Hardship and difficulty produced by growth of families and maturing of
children of different sexes requiring increased privacy and space. The
cottages were originally suited to the size and character of our families.
However~ we now have more children and of different sexes. They are
presently of an age when privacy is a necessity. The additional space
proposed in the addition will provide that privacy. If not permitted~
unnecessary hardship will result.
The addition will not add 50% to fair market value since it is primarily
bedroom space. Foundations, kitchens and bathrooms~ i.e.~ expensive
parts of the house, exist and are not increased.
The unique condition of two cottages on one lot is pre-existing and not
shared by properties in the immediate vicinity.
The district is composed of cottages of similar nature to our own, with
permanent homes located to the west. The proposed addition will not
change our use of the property but eliminate hardship currently eh~
countered~ therefore observing the spirit of the Ordinance. The general
imporvement to the property would enhance the value of surrounding
cottages while leaving the residential character of the district unchanged.
