Below you will find a list of all the events that have taken place at the Human Resource
Center (HRC) during the month of April 2011. The events have been divided into three
categories, which include Health Promotion, Presentations/Special Events and Staff
Activities/Trainings.
Health Promotion
1. Senior Wellness Education Series Presentation "How Do You Feel About..." on
April 1st.
2. Blood Pressure Clinic on April 5th.
3. Line Dancing classes on April 7th, 14th and 28th.
4. Bereavement Counseling by East End Hospice on April 7th, 14th and 28th.
5. Caregivers Support meeting on April 19th.
6. Hearing Screenings by Peconic ENT & Plastic Surgery on April 15th.
7. "Eat Smart" nutrition classes on April 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.
8. "Technological Advances in Hearing Healthcare"- Part I1" presentation by Dr.
Prestano, Director of Audiology at Peonic Ear, Nose, Throat and Plastic Surgery
on April 28th.
Presentation/Special Events
1. Trip to BOCES Cosmetology School for Day of Beauty for seniors on April 8th.
2. Easter Celebration including music, trivia, Easter bonnet contest and prizes on
April 20th.
3. Monthly Birthday Celebration with musical entertainment by Larry Lang on April
27th.
Staff Activities/Traininqs
1. Health Issues and Services for Seniors Meeting on April 27th.
The weekly movie continued throughout the month of April as well as the weekly Wll
game tournaments. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional
