Guest Speaker: Pat Policastro, Suffolk County Youth Bureau advised the board of the
formula for funding youth programs. In the past municipalities received $1.64 per population.
However due to fiscal constraints, state aid to SC continues to decrease and this year is no
exception. In 2011 all municipalities will see a decrease of 23% of youth programs that are
funded by state aid. For Southold this represents the Youth Bureau administration and the
Juvenile Aid Bureau DARE program. This will not impact the SC funding Family Service
League receives on behalf of the Town for the provision of direct services to youth.
Next Meetinq Date: Monday, June 13th at 5:30 p.m. at the Human Resource Ctr.
Respectfully Submitted,
Phillip Beltz
