POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meeting, the attending public is encouraged to briefly address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the Board on any given topic. PUBLIC NOTICES Public Notice of Complete Application to remove and not replace three sides of an existing boxed in timber bulkhead, remove a total of 263 linear feet of existing timber bulkhead and replace with 263 linear feet of timber jetty type of bulkhead. The property is located in Cutcho~ue on Cutcho~te Harbor. Public Notice of a request to the US Army Corps of Engineers to authorize the reconstruction of an existing deteriorated 12 foot by 285 foot fixed pier and a 6 foot by 64 foot fixed 1-shaped second with the instation of a wave curtain, and reconstruct a 32 foot by 32 foot filled pier. Replace two 6 foot by 24 foot floats and add three 6 foot by 24 foot floats to be secured by 18 pilings. Install seven mooring piles and four 7-pile dolphins. The purpose of this project is to provide a looading and offloading facility in Great Pecond Bay, Robins Island, in the Town of Southold. Public Notice on a proposal by Cleaves Point Villags to modify an existing pier, install pilings and wave curtains in Gardiners Bay at East Marion in the Town of Southold. III. Discussion of Land Preservation Committee recommendation for Town to place a referendum on the November 1994 ballot for a bond for the farmland preservation program. 2. Possible resolution authorizing the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a full-time temporary Clerk Typist for the office of the Town Trustees to replace Jill Doherty while she is on a maternity leave-of-absence from Sept. 14, 1994 through Mar. 20, 1995 at a salary of $21,786.94 per annum. 3. Discussion of Agenda for August 3rd Fishers Island Town Board Meeting. 4. Possible resolution appointing individuals to the Southold Town Transportation Committee. 5. Supervisor will invite the public o speak Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an extension agreement between the Suffolk County Office for the Aging and the Town of Southold for the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly (EISEP) Housekeeper/Chore Program, for the period of April 1, 1994 through March 31, 1995 at a total budget no to exceed $23,904.00. RESOLUTIONS (Cont'd.) 2/ 3/ 4/ 6/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an extension agreement between the Sullolk County Office for the Aging and the Town of Southold for the Community Services for the Elderly (CSE) Housekeeper/Chore Program, for the period of April 1, 1994 through March 31, 1995 at a total budget not to exceed $23,904.00. Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for the sale of the Series III, Model 50, IBM Copy Machine located in the west wing of the Town Hall. Resolved that the Town Board grants Jill Doherty, Clerk Typist in the office of the Town Trustees, a six month maternity leave-of-absence effective Sept. 19, 1994 through March 20, 1995. Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the closure of Love Lane and Pike Street, east and west of Love Lane, Mattituck from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Saturday, July 9, to permit the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce to hold their 17th Annual Mattituck Street Fair. Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to the Cutchogue Fire Department to use Moore's Lane, Alvah's Lane, and New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue, as staging and parade route for their 27th Annual Parade and Drill to be held on Saturday, July 16, 1994 at 6:00 PM (rain date: Sunday, July 17 at 2:00 PM). 7/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an agreement between the Town of Southold and Cornell Cooperative Extension to provide technical support for the establishment of a shellfish hatchery and nursery system for Southold Town using the Suffolk Marine Environmental Learning Center facility for the period of Jan. 1, 1994 to Dec. 31, 1994. 8~Resolved that the Town Board renews their agreement between the Town of Southold and William F. Mullen, Jr. as the Town's Insurance Consultant, effective July 1, 1994 through June 30, 1995 at an annual fee of $21,000 payable in 12 monthly payments of $1,750.00. 9/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an agreement between the Family Service League and the Town of Southold, whereby the League will provide individual and crisis intervention counseling, plus alcohol and substance abuse prevention/education services to the Town Youth Services Program for the term.of Jan. 1, 1994 through Dec. 31, 1994. -10/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a budget modification to the General Fund - Whole Town 1994 budget to transfer funds f_or laser printers for Town Clerk, Board of Appeals and Recreation Department as well as a personal computer for the Records Management Program. RESOLUTIONS (Cont*d) llY/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for a part-time custodian for the Human Resource Center. 12V/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute Partial Payment Request No. two to the Federal Aviation Administration and Partial Payment Request No. one to the New York State Department of Transportation with regard to the Fishers Island Elizabeth Field Runways 7-25 and 12-30 Overlay (Construction) Project. 13Y/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts the resignation of Andre Cybulski, Jr., member of the Southold Town Land Preservation Committee. 14~ Resolved that the Town Board approves the appointments of Lifeguards, Beach Attendants, Water Safety Instructors, Playground Instructors, Beach Manager for Summer Season. 15~/ Resolved that the Town Board sets 7:55 PM Tuesday, June 28, 1994 for a public hearing on a "Local Law in Relation to Parking at Indian Neck Lane." 16~/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for a used Dump Truck for the Highway Department. 17~Resolved that the Town Board accepts the resignation of Frances Shahbazian, part-time Clerk Typist at the Recreation Department. 18//Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk Typist for the Recreation Department. 19~/ Resolved that the Town Board requests the members of the Suffolk County Legislature and the Suffolk County Executive to approve and to adopt proposed resolution in utilizing 1/4% Sales Tax funds for capping and closing of landfills. And be it further resolved that the Town Clerk is directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Presiding Office of the Suffolk County Legislature and to the Suffolk County Executive. 20~,"~Resolved that the Town Board authorizes an advance fee check for payment. 21 ~Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to issue free Beach Parking Permits to the following summer employees: Water Safety Instructors, Beach Attendants, Lifeguards, Beach Manager. 22,/'~Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Southold Town Beach Attendants to be supplied with a petty cash fund to enable ._them to make change for tax that is charged for beach permits. RESOLUTIONS (Cont'd) / 23~/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a bond resolution for road improvements in the Town. 24~/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to publish a bond resolution in the Long Island T~aveler-Watchman. 25/Resolved that the Town Board set permit fees for vehicla parking for Race Point and Wilderness Point on Fishers Island. 26/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to designate individuals to issue vehicle parking permits for Race Point and Wilderness Point, recreational areas on Fishers Island. 27~/~esolved that the Town Board appoints three Traffic Control Officers: Kimberly Bridge, Jason Luhrs and Thomas Cassidy. 28. Resolved that the Town Board accepts bids for Engergy Conservation Program at Town Hall, Police Headquarters and Human Resource Center. 29,/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute A NY Engergy Office Grant Application. 30/ Resolved that the Town Board readvertise for bids for engerg conservation improvements at Town Hall. 31~/Resolved that the Town Board accepts the bid of Tully Construction Co. to provide equipment and labor for hauling solid waste and disposing of solid waste at Contractor's Solid Waste Disposal Site and authorizes the Supervisor to execute an agreement with Tully Construction Co. 32 ~ Resolved that the Town Board accepts the bid of Star Recycling Inc. to provide equipment and labor for haulin and disposing of Construction and demolition debris at Constractor's disposal site and authorizes the Supervisor to execute and agreement with Star Recycling. 33/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for a fuli-time temporary Clerk Typist for the Town Trustees while full-time Cerlk Typist is on maternity leave. 34/Resolved that the Town Board approves the appointment of 3 individuals to the Transportation Committee. 35 esolved that the Town Board appoints EISEP Aides and Day Care Aide. 36 ~/ Resolved that the Town Board reappoints Michael L. RESOLUTIONS (Conttd) 37F"'Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for one member of the Land Preservation Committee. 38w'/Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to Chief of Poi/ce Droskoski to attend a Chief of Poi/cets Training Conference. 39V/'Resolved that the Town Board rescinds resolution //32 adopted March 22, 1994 recommending Pacific Street House to the Aide To The Developmentally Disabled as a residence. 40'~'/Resolved that the Town Board accepts the ADD Site Selection Committee's recommendations and submits a house on Indian Neck and a house on Oregon View Estates as first choices and also recommends that the Pacific Street house be held as a second choice as an alternative sites for the proposed residential facility of the ADD.
