POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meeting, the attending public is encouraged to briefly address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the Board on any given topic. PUBLIC NOTICES Army Corp of Engineers has a request for authorization to reconstruct a non-functional ? foot by 150 foot fixed pier, connected to a 9.5 foot long new pier for provide adequate mooring facilities at the Old Cove Yacht Club on Great Peconic Bay in New Suffolk, NY. III. COMMUNICATIONS NONE IV. FOR DISCUSSION Please Note: All "For-Discussion" items are discussed during the 9 AM to 4:30 PM Town Board Work Session at the times listed on the Order of Business. 1. Selection of a Town Board Member to work on the Shellfish Advisory Committee. 2. Discussion of Fisher's Island Metal Dump. 3. Discussion of 5 Town Policies. 4. Discussion of the Parks Department position. 5. Discussion of the Town Code on the burning of garbage. 6. Discussion of medical benefits for additional Town Officials. 7. Discussion on second draft of recycling newsletter. 8. Possible resolution on the appointment of an Assistant Cook for the Southold Town Nutrition Center. 9. Possible resolution on the appointment of two new members of the Southold Town Land Preservation Committee. 10. Possible Resolution on the appointment of a temporary Clerk Typist for the Justice Court to cover a sick leave. 16. Resolved that the Town Board appoints a person as a Clerk Typist to the Building Department. V. RESOLUTIONS SPECIAL NOTE: At this time the Supervisor will invite the public to speak out on the following resolutions. 1/ Resolved that the Town Board has made certain decisions regarding the employment of certain Health Aids to work at the Human Resource Center. Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to Deputy Town Clerk and Town Historian to attend a Records Management Workshop. Resolved that the Town Board appoints a part-time Gate Attendant at the Southold Town Disposal Area. 'Resolved that the Town Board exercises its option to extend the its agreement between the Town of Southold and North Fork Sanitation Service for a period of 3 months beginning April 9, 1994. Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a Clerk for spring Tax Collection season for the office of the Receiver of Taxes. Resolved that the Town Board establishes a standard workday for elected and appointed officials per requirement of the New York State Employees' Retirement System. Resolved that the Town Board establishes days to be reported on a biweekly basis for elected and appointed officials to the New York State Employees' Retirement System. Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a budget modification to the General Fund. 9/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for food for the Nutrition Center for the remainder of 1994. RESOLUTIONS (Cont'd.) 10~/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts a bid to apply 150,000 sq.yds of Latex Modified Pavement Course for the Highway Department 11~/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute the 1994 Community Development Block Grant Program Agreement between the County of Suffolk and the Town of Southold. 12~/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts a bid to supply the Highway Department with two spreaders. 13~/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts a bid to supply the Highway Department with 10,000 linear feet of Snow Fence. 14~/ Resolved that the Town Board requests adoption of a proposed law to amend the executive law to provide for a simplified, unified review by one state agency of proposed coastal area activities and be it further resolved that the Town Clerk be directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the New York State Senatorial representative for Long Island. 15~/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts the proposal of NYNEX for an updated lease. 16~/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a budget modification to the General Fund - Whole Town 1994 Budget to appropriate lunch donations from STF Hamlet Meetings. 17~/ Resolved that the Town Board appoints Irene Raico permanently as an EISEP Aide. 18,/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to executive an amendment of the agreement between the Suffolk County Youth Bureau, Town of Southold and Family Service League to include a Work Experience Participation clause. 19~ Resolved that the Town Board appoints Susan Hallock as a temporary Stenographer for the Board of Assessment Review effective May 17, 1994. 20~/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes payment to Fagan Engineering to assist the Town in the negotiations with the DEC for the Fishers Island Metal Dump.
