encouraged to briefly address the Town Board relating to agenda
resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will also be given time
at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address
the Board on any given topic.

Notice of Public Hearing on Local Law in relation to Garbage
Definitions.
Section 48-1 (Definitions) amended as follows: A plastic bag
bearing the logo of the seal of the Town of Southold of such size and
design as shall be determined by the Town Board, to be used for the
disposal of non-recyclable waste.
Notice of Public Hearing on the Implication of State Authorization

Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the exchange of Town Code
Books between the Town of Southold and the Town of Shelter Island.
Resolved that the Town Beard authorizes the Supervisor and Town
Clerk to submit a grant application for a 1994/95 Archival Records
Management Program.
Resolved that the Town Beard appoints Robert McCaffrey's,
provisionally, as a Scale Operator.
Resolved that the Town Board accepts the resignation of Richard C.
Ryan from the Southold Town Land Preservation Committee.
5~'/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Clerk
to advertise for resumes in the Suffolk Times for p[t Clerk
Stenographer for the Supervisor's office.

Resolved that the Town Board appoints Danla M. Heggy as a Public
Safety Dispatcher 1.
Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to the Supervisor's
office and the Human Resource Center to accept 3 Social Studies
interns from Mattituck High School to work 3-4 hours a week, at no
sala~r, during Spring 1994 Semester.

8/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Supervisor
to execute an Extension Agreement between the Suffolk County
Office for the Aging and the Town's Nutrition Program from December
31, 1993 through December 31, 1994.
9~,/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes and directs James McMahon
to submit a Tidal Wetlands Permit Application for the Mattituck
Inlet Park Improvement Project.
10/Resolved that the Town Board approves a bond for improvements in
the major subdivision of Harbor Park Homes.

il/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a refund to Dalchet
Corporation for overpayment of the administration fee for major
subdivision of Harbor Park Homes.
12~esolved that the Town Board grants permission to the Recreation
Supervisor to attend the NYS Recreation and Park Society Conference.
13,~olved that the Town Board authorizes advance fee checks for
hotel accommodations and for registration fees for the NYS Recreation
and Park Society Conference which will be attended by the Recreation
Supervisor.
14~'/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Board of Commissioners
of the Fishers Island Ferry District to offer their employees 3
reimbursement benefits in addition to their current health insurance
coverage.

of the Fishers Island Ferry District to accept a proposal from a
local Contractor to repair the roof of a warehouse building adjacent
to the Ferry staging area.
16~"/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Board of Commissioners
of the Fishers Island Ferry District to advertise for bids for
accomplishing interior rehabilitation of the Fishers Island Community
Thea~ter.
17 d that The Town Board has conducted, an uncoordinated
review of the following unlisted action and determined that there
will be no significant effect on the environment. The Aetin is
described as: Proposed "Local Law in Relation to Sidewalks", which
addresses: Obstructions, Snow and Ice Removal; General Maintenance,
and Penalties for Offenses.

18 that the Town Board set 5.00 PM, Thursday, February 24,
1994 to hold a Public Hearing on a proposed Local Law in Relation to
Sidewalks. Section 80-1 (Obstructions) be added to read as follows:
"The deposit of dirt, filth, waste, lmbbish and merchandise displayed
for sale in any street, highway, sidewalk or public place, is hereby
prohibited.
19/Resolved that the Town Board grants 'permission of Engineering
Inspector James A. Richter and Solid Waste Coordinator James
Bunchuck to attend 2 sessions of the 1994 Association of Towns
Conference and that the necessary expenses for registration, lunch,
and travel using a Town vehicle be charged to the Highway Dept.
and Public Works Dept. 1994 budget.
20/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Clerk
to advertise for bids for the purchase of one new 1994 four-wheel
drive pick-up truck for the Bay Constable.
21/Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to the North Fork
Animal Welfare League, Inc. to locate a temporary trailer on the
animal shelter property in accordance with the NYS Building Codes
and that the North Fork Animal Welfare League secure and keep in
effect Hability insurance on the new temporary trailer.
22/Resolved that the Town Board amends resolution no. 28, adopted on
appointing Debora L. Ginas as PSD, to establish her
December 23, 1993.

date, with regard to an Environmental Assessment of a proposed
"Local Law in Relation to Sidewalks".
33/ Resolved that the Town Board rescinds resolution No. 18, adopted this
date, setting a public hearing on a proposed "Local Law in Relation
to Sidewalks".

Approval of Chairman of Board of Assessors request to increase the
fee of a Consultant to the Board of Assessors.
Possible Resolution that the Town Board appoints Sheila Klos and
Michael Quillan as part-time Public Safety Dispatchers on an
as-needed basis.
Discussion regarding a request from the Aid to the Developmentally
Disabled, Inc. to establish a community residence in Mattituck for 4
developmentaliy disabled persons.
Possible Resolution that the Town Board grants permission to
the Senior Bay Constable to attend the first annual A.L.E.R.T.
Convention.
