Set date to interview Civil Service Candidates for Clerk to fill anticipated vacancy at police headquarters due to retirement. Set date to interview Civil Service Candidates for Clerk-Typist to fill anticipated vacancy in the Accounting and Finance Department due to retirement. RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At this time the Supervisor will invite the public to speak out on the following resolutions. 1~/ Resolved that the Town Board modifies the General Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget to appropriate funds for the donation to the America's Sail Event. 2g/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the installation of a street light at the intersection of Sound Avenue and Farmveu Road, Laurel, and a street lfght at the intersection of Aldrich Land and Harvest Lane, Laurel, all in accordance with the provisions of the Southold Town Planning Board. And, it is further resolved that the Town Board authorizes LILCO to install the secondaries to energize the two street lights. 3/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a 1995 Budget Modification to the General Fund Whole Town to appropriate funds donated for the Tree Committee. MeMahon to act as official representative ii1 connection with any contracts between the Municipaiity and State. 5/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a Budget Modification to the General Fund Whole Town to cover costs incurred through the Youth Scholarship Program for the Spring Programs. 6/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to readvertise for bids for 150,000 square yards of Latex Modified Emulsified Asphalt Pavement Course (Microsurfacing) for the Superintendent of Highways. 7/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes Lawrence Healthcare to pay a bill for service submitted by the hospital more than 90 days after the date of service. 8/ Resolved that the Town Board sets Tuesday, July 11, 1995 at 5:00 PM at Southold Town Hall for a hearing regarding Petitions for Lands End Road Improvement District. 9/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute agreements between the Town of Southold and the North Fork Housing Alliance for specified programs, funded by the 1995 Community Development Block Grant Program. 10/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the expenditure of phone bills for the SAFE RIDES program. ll~"/Resolved that the Town Board urges the U.S. Coast Guard to reconsider the proposed closure at Fishers Island and maintain the search and rescue detachment at Fishers Island for search and rescue operations. 12/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a 1995 Budget Modification to the General Fund Part Town to allocate funds to purchase file cabinet for the Planning Board. 13~'/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the release of the Letter of Credit for Southold Villas. 14/ Resolved that the Town Board appoints specified Lifeguards, Playground Instructors and Beach Attendants for the 1995 Summer Season. 15~/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts the proposal of Rhen & Fore, ' CPAs, to conduct an audit of the books and records of the Town of Southold and its grant programs for the year ended December 31, 1994. RESOLUTIONS (Continued) 16/ Resolved that the Town Board appoints appoints an P/T EISEP Aide, effective June 14, 1995. 17/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an acceptance of the proposal of Hawkins, Delafield & Wood to serve as bond counsel to the Town in connection with the sale and issuance of NYS EFC Metal Dump Abandonment Serial Bonds 1995, to repay the loan made to the Town . 18/Resolved that the Town Board rescinds specified appointments for the 1995 Season. 19/Resolved that the Town Board modifies the General Fund whole Town 1995 Budget to appropriate funds for the payment of accumulated vacation time to a Police Officer per the PBA Contract. 20~/ Resolved that the Town Board modifies the General Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget to appropriate funds for the payment due to a Police Officer resulting from his disability retirement. 21~/Resolved that the Town Board rescinds their May 30, 1995 appointments of two full-time Traffic Control Officers because the applicants declined the positions when offered. 22/Resolved that the Town Board appoints two individuals as full-time Traffic Control Officers effective immediately. 23~/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Board of Commissioners of the FI Ferry District to engage the services of specified individuals as P/T Deckhands. 24e/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a modification to the General Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget to appropriate additional funds for travel to and from FI and for the rental of office space. 25/ Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to a police officer to attend a one-day Armorer's and Preventive Maintenance Course for Glock Pistols and payment of the registration fee required. / 26g/Resolved that the Town Board declares "A Local Law in Relation to Certificate of Determination" will not have a significant effect on the environment. 27~/Resolved that the Town Board refers "A Local Law in Realtion to Certificate of Determination" to Town and County Planning Boards. 28/Resolved that the Town Board appoints Josephine Boyd a member of the Southold Town Landmark Preservation Commission. RESOLUTIONS (Continued) 29~//Resolved that the Town Board appoints Mark Gajowski as P/T Computer Equipment Operator. 30/ Resolved that the Town Board appoints Lori McIver as Cook for the Nutrition Center. 31/Resolved that the Town Board appoints Karen Miska as a P/T Summer Intern for the Planning Board. 32/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an agreement with the SCDHS and a property owner in the area for SCDHS to construct one two-inch supply well. 33/ Resolved that the Town Board rescinds Resolution No. 42 of May 30th. / 34F/ Resolved that the Town Board engages the services of Thomas Maher of D & B for engineering research and representation before NYS Agencies with regard to Landfill Closure. 35 ~/ Resolved that the Town Board makes available a portion of property at Laurel Lake for a YMCA. 36/Resolved that the Town Board sets 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 27, 1995 for a public hearing on a Local Law in Relation to Lot Creation and Merger. 37~/ Resolved that the Town Board approves the enactment of Local Law No. 12 - 1995, A Local Law In Relation to Appearance Tickets. 38/Resolved that the Town Board approves the enactment of Local Law No. 13 - 1995, A Local Law In Relation to Landmark Preservation. 39/ Resolved that the Town Board re,eases Police Officer Stephen Ryan from employment, effective June 15, 1995.
