POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meeting, the attending public is
encouraged to briefly address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions
prior to their enactment; the public will also be given time at the
conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the Board
on any given topic.

II. . PUBLIC NOTICES
NYS-DEC Notice of Complete Application on behalf of William McGinnes
to dredge marina basis to a maximum of depth of 4' below mean low
water. The resultant 1000 Cu. Yds of material will be placed on the
adjacent areas on the owners property.
NYS-DEC Public Notice of Application received by the Army Corp of
Engineers on behalf of Stephen Greenbaum to Construct a pier assembly
and to install two elevator boat lifts in Southold Bay, Shelter Island
Sound.

1. Possible resolution appointing a School Crossing Guard.
Discussion of Vacancies that now exist as a result of the resignation
of Mark S. McDonald.
3. Discussion of New York State Hiring Freeze.

Proposed resolution to modify the General Fund Whole Town 1995
Budget to provide for future propane gas purchase for cooking and
heating at the Human Resource Center.
5. Discussion of Southold Landfill Closure Investigation.
Possible resolution regarding appointments to the Southold Town
Landmark Preservation Commission.
Possible resolution granting permission to John Raynor and Alan
Thibodeau to attend the National Hurricane Conference in the capacities
as emergency preparedness managers.
8. Set date to interview applicants for the matron position.
Possible resolution appointing a person to the position of Clerk
Typist for the Southold Town Justice Court.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At this time the Supervisor will invite the public to speak
out on the following resolutions.

Resolved that the Town Board adopts two new forms to be used by the
Southold Town Building Department for Application for Accessory Bed &
Breakfast (B&B (1) 3/95 and Accessory Bed & Breakfast Permit (B&B
. (2) 3/95).
Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a budget modification to the
General Fund - Whole Town 1995 Budget to appropriate Park &
Recreation funds for a dump truck for the Department of Public Works.
Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to hold the Southold -
Great Hog Neck 15k Foot Race on Saturday, September 30, 1995
beginning at 9:00 AM and to use specified Town Roads for the Race.
Resolved that the Town Board accepts the resignation of Mark S.
McDonald from the Southold Town Planning Board and all other Boards
and/or Committees on which he sits.
Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise
resumes for one member of the Planing Board to fill the unexpired term
of Mark S. McDonald until December 31, 1995.
Resolved that the Town Board appoints the following individuals as
Matrons to assist the Southold Town Police Department, effective
immediately, at a salary of $8.35 per hour: Jean Stepnowski, Kimberly
Bridge, Samantha Bumble, Kelly D'Amalio.
Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise
for resumes for Seasonal Traffic Control Officers, at a salary of $8.35
per hour.

Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise
for resumes for a Clerk for the Tax Receiver's office for the
spring collection season.
9~/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a 1995 budget modifioation to
the General Fund Whole Town Budget to provide for the purchase of
acid free supplies by the Town Historian.
10//Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a 1995 Budget modifioation to
the Highway Whole Town Budget for the purchase of a spreader and
plows.
llv/ Resolved that the Town Board accepts responsibility for the
maintenanee of the parking area at Orient Point, to the east of Route
25 and south of the concession bUilding, after the NYS Dept. of
Transportation completely repairs and resurfaces the entire area.

Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute a
change order between the Town and Avey Electric Inc., at a net
increase of $1,925 to the contract with same to accomplish certain
electrical lighting corrections at Town Hall.
Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute a
change order between the Town and Avey Electric at a net increase of
$1.150 to accomplish certain electrical lighting corrections at the
Human Resource Center, Police Headquarters, and Town Hall.
Resolved that the Town Board accepts the resignation of Francis A.
Thorp, a member of the Southold Town Board of Assessment Review,
effective
15/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise
for resumes for one member of the Board of Assessment Review to fill
the vacancy created by the resignation of Francis A. Thorp.
16~J~Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to Solid Waste
Coordinator James Bunchuck to attend a Waste Composition Study
Seminar in Albany.
17~//Resolved that the Town Board engages the services of Andrew D.
Stype, Certified Real Estate Appraiser to conduct an appraisal on
behalf of the Land Preservation Committee.

18/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute
lease agreements for two Pitney Bowes 9056 copy machines for Southold
Town Hall; one agreement to include the lease/purchase buy-out by
Pitney Bowes of the copy machine in the west wing of the building and
the removal and disposai of the IBM III copy machine located in the
- east wing of the building.

19 ~/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes,the Supervisor to execute a
change order between the Town and Avey Electric Inc., at a net
increase $300 to the contract with Avey Electric to accomplish certain
electrical lighting corrections at Town Hall.
20~/(Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a modification to the General
Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget to allocate fund for fill and film
processing for the Community Development Department.
Mary Ann Galvin ($20.00 per hour), substitute aerobics instructors for
the Recreation Program, all in accordance with the approval of the
Town Attorney.
22/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes an advance fee check in the
amount of $1,888.00 (94 Tickets at $20 each, plus an $8 handling fee)
for two December 1995 bus trips to the Christmas Spectacular at Radio
City Music Hall.
23/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes increases for specified FI
Ferry District employees, effective March 16, 1995 in accordance with
the recommendation of the Board of Commissioners of the FI Ferry
District.
24/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise
for resumes for a part-time Clerk Stenographer for the Supervisor's
office.
25~/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a modification to the General
Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget to appropriate funds for drinking water
in Justice Court.
26~,/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a modification to the General
Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget to establish an account with NYSERNET
· to access database via the Internet as needed by the Accounting &
Finance Department.
27/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes a modification to the General
Fund Whole Town 1995 Budget for the Police Department and Bay
Constable Budgets.
28/Resolved that the Town Board creates a P/T Code Enforcement and
authorizes the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes.
29/Resolved that the Town Board appoints Linda L. Tatum as a School
Crossing Guard.
30/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the creation of a list of ..... relief School Crossing Guards.

Site Assistance Advisory Committee.

remedy the problem created with the clam relay project due to the New
York State Hiring Freeze.
33/Resolved that the Town Board accepts the proposal of Kolb Mechanical
Corp. for reconditioning fan coil units in Town Hall.
34~/ Resolved that the Town Board reappoints Landmark Pres. Comm.
Members.

and Alan Thibodeau at a National Hurricane Conference.
