POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meeting, the attending public is encouraged to briefly address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will also be given time at the conclusion of the regulariy scheduled business agenda to address the Board on any given topic. Next Town Board Meeting: Tuesday, January 24, 1995 at 4:30 P.M. 7:35 PM - Present Proclamations: The Town Board of the Town of Southold wishes to pay tribute to the men of the 106th Rescue Group of the Air National Guard who, on December 9, 1994, participated in searching for survivors of the Allende, a Ukranian container ship, with 31 crew members on board, which had sunk in heavy seas more than 600 miles of the coast of Nova Scotia. We pay tribute to: 1) The 106th Rescue Group of the Air National Guard stationed in Westhampton Beach. And, in particular to: 2) Master Sgt. William Burkard a member of the 106th Rescue Group of the Air National Guard 3) Lt. Colonel Edward Fleming, a member of the 106th Rescue Group of the Air National Guard I. PUBLIC NOTICES Notice from the New York District Corp of Engineers for an application for a permit to dredge with ten years maintenance with upland disposal, resheath existing bulkhead, remove bulkhead and excavate to expand existing boat basis on Haywater Cove, Little Peconic Bay in Cutchogue. Notice from the New York District Corp of Engineers for an application for a permit to replace/construct bulkheads, dredge with upland disposal, install pier assembly on Schoolhouse Creek, Shelter Island Sound, New Suffolk. New York State DEC Notice of Complete Application to subdivide a 4.5 acres parcel in to two buildable lots. New York State DEC Notice of Complete Application to construct a single family dwelling garage, driveway, and sanitary systems. New York State DEC Notice of Complete Application to resheath landward 478 L.F. of timber bulkhead. Excavate upland area adjacent to existing boat basin. Remove 96 L.F. of bulkhead and construct 30 L.F. of new timber bulkhead in line with the existing bulkhead to . expand the Boat Basin. Resultant 150 cu.yds, of excavated soil to be used as backfill. Dredge Boat Basin and 20' of its mouth to a max depth of 4' below mean iow water. Resultant 100 cu.yds, of dredge material to be deposited on the owner's upland. A silt curtain will be used to limit turbidity during the dredging operation. Project is located on Mason Dr. in Cutchogue. Southold Town Board Meeting Agenda - January 10, 1995 Page 3. IV. FOR DISCUSSION Please Note: All "For-Discussion" items are discussed during the 9 AM to 4:30 PM Town Board Work Session at the times listed on the Order Business. of Set date to interview applicants for Data Entry Operator for Disposal Area. Discussion of letter from Main Bayview Road resident asking for a waiver of dump fees for garbage collected in a clean-up of the Bayview Road area by members of her family. 3. Discussion of public awareness campaign on changes in sign code. 4. Criteria for Town Funding of Not For Profit Organizations. For possible resolution, 'the issuance of a Conditioned Negative Declaration with respect to the application of Roy A. & Joanne K. Schelin for a permit to operate a Transfer station at 8475 Cox Lane, Cutchogue. Discussion of February 1993 Resolution proposing an exemption from Part 360 of the Environmentai Conservation Law regarding landfill · closure. Planning and Zoning issues: Architectural Review and Planning for Public Water. V. RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At this time the Supervisor will invite the public to speak out on the following resolutions. 1/ Resolved that the Town Board terminates the appointment of Rosemary Wysocki as a Day Care Driver for one hour a day, effective December 24, 1994. 2/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the purchase of bottled water for the Southold Town Justice Court offices and Town Hall. 3/ Resolved that the Town Board rescinds resolution no. 18 adopted on December 27, 1994 appointing Ann Amiaga as a Clerk in the Tax Receiver's Office because she declined the position. 4/ Resolved that the Town Board creates the position of Neighborhood Aide at the Human Resource Centers and sets a salary of $20,620 per annum for the position. Helinski, Assistant Senior Citizen Site Manager at the Southold Town Human Resource Center, effective February 28, 1995. 6/ Resolved that the Town Board appoints Dorothy Chituck as a Clerk in the Tax Receiver's office, effective December 30, 1994 at a salary of $6.35 per hour. 7~// Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to execute an agreement with Sam Smith (youth basketball) for the Winter 1995 Recreation Program. 8/ Resolved that the Town Board terminates, effective immediately, the employment of p/t custodian Tilli Zurek who has failed to report for work since November 23, 1994 and has failed to communicate her absence to her immediate supervisor or Commissioner of Public Works Jacobs. 9/ Resolved that the Town Board appoints Jesse Wilson as a part-time Custodian for Southold Town Hall, effective immediately, 17 1/2 hours per week at a salary of $6.76 per hour. 10/Resolved that the Town Board grants permission to Senior Accountant John Cushman and Senior Citizen Aide 11 Karen McLaughlin to attend a grants preparation workshop sponsored by the NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities on January 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. 11~/ Resolved that the Town Board sets 5:05 PM, Tuesday, January 24, 1995, Southold Town Hall as time and place for a public hearing on a Local Law in Relation to Bed and Breakfast Facilities. l~//Resolved that the Town Board modifies the General Fund Whole Town 1994 1994 Budget to cover overexpended line items. 13/ Resolved that the Town Board authorizes budget modification to the General Fund Part Town to cover overexpended budget lines. 14/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes 1994 Budget modification to the Highway Fund Whole Town to cover overexpended line items. 15/Resolved that the Town Board authorizes 1994 Budget modification to the Fishers Island Ferry District to cover overexpended line items. 16/Resolved that the Town Board amends a February 1993 Resolution proposing an exemption from Part 360 of the Environmental Conservation Law regarding landfill closure Southold Town Board Meeting Agenda - January 10, 1995 Page 5.
