Board on any given topic.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
1/Authorize and direct HI-IS Administrative to pay a medical bill fi.om Eastern Long Island
Hospital, which bill was submitted by the provider more than 90 days after service was
rendered.
2/Authorize Superintendent of Highways Jacobs to make an order laying out the highways in
Farmveu Associates; and authorize and direct the Town Clerk to cause the dedication,
release, and deed to be recorded in the Office of the Suffolk County Clerk.
3v/ Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1997 budget to provide funding for paid working
vacation in the Accounting and Finance Department.
4/Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1997 budget to provide funding for an increase in
Association of Towns membership dues.
5v//Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1997 budget to provide funding for a heating
arbitrator, title fees and Town Hall space studies.
6/Request the Suffolk County Department of Public Works conduct a traffic survey
at the hatersection of eR 48 and Depot Lane, Cutchogue for the purpose of changhag
the caution light to traffic light.

7/Grant permission to Assessor Chairman Scott A. Russell and Assessor Dafline I.
Duffy to attend the Introduction to G.I.S. Seminar at the State University of NY at
Stony Brook on August 19, 1997; registration, travel and meals shall be a legal
charge to Assessors' 1997 budget.
Appoint John B. Greene to the Architectural Review Committee, effective immediately
through October 17, 1998, he to serve without compensation.
9/Grant permission to Janice Smither, Barbara Rudder and Annette Jordan to attend a one
day Skillpath seminar on Microsoft Excel for Windows and Macintosh on September 22,
1997 at Melville; $69.00 enrollment fee, travel and meals shall be a legal charge to the
Accounting & Finance Department's 1997 Contractual Expenses budget.
10v//Create position of Senior Clerk and set salary scale.
11~/ Appoint Carol Kalin, provisionally, to the position of Stenographer in the office of the
Supervisor, effective July 23, 1997.
12v/ Authorize the transfer of one (1) obsolete 1954 OMC Tank Track fi.om the Town Highway
Department to the East Marion Fire District.
13v/ Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the purchase of 10,000 linear
feet (more or less as needed) of Snow Fence, and 500 (more or less as needed) of 6 foot
studded steel "T" posts for the Southold Town Highway Department.
14v/ Accept, with regret, the resignation of Evelyn M. Kouri, part-time EISEP Aide.
15/Authorize the Town Board to request the New York State Legislature to amend Senate
Bill S. 5486 and Assembly Bill A. 8274 to include the Town of Southold to enable the
Town to establish a community preservation fund.
16/Modify the General Fund Whole Town 1997 budget to appropriate funds for a new
Stenographer.
17V/ Create an Affordable Housing Ad Hoc Committee and appoint individuals for a one year
term.
18/Create a Fort Corchaug Fort Area Ad Hoc Committee and appoint individuals for a one
year term.

22~/ Authorize an appraisal of the properties known collectively as "The Silver Sands Motel" for
a certiorari proceeding for the tax years 1995/96, 1996/97, 1997/98.
23//Rescind resolution no. 11, adopted on July 8, 1997, appointing Lori Shelly as a Mini-Van
Driver for the Human Resource Center, as she declined the position.
24/Appoint Marvin Knight as a Mini-Van Driver for the Human Resource Center, effective
immediately.
25g/ Appoint Richard C. Ryan as Chairperson of the Land Preservation Committee.
261/ Approve 1997 salary schedule for Human Resource Center.
27~//Authorize Supervisor Cochran to execute the required documents for a grant to study the
collaboration between the Southold School/Southold Library/Town of Southold.

29/Accept the proposal of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to conduct a Supplemental Environmental
Review with regard to the Mullen change of zone petition.

with regard to a local law on wireless communication facilities.
