The following criteria is suggested as a framework for the new member (s)' suggested responsibilities within the Committee. Student/UniversiW Community Additional Member Su~,c~ested Criteria: 1. Should be part of University Community 2. Interest in Renewable and Alternative Energy 3. Able to attend monthly meetings 4. Could also be more than one person and responsibilities can be split according to ability to attend meeting and knowledge base 5. Interest in political process of influencing and making policy 6. Interest in Managing Committees' media presence using interact and social networking sites 7. Help Committee utilize such "new media" to expand its ability to reach interested parties in Southould Town and beyond 8. Can suggest other topics/areas of interest to the student/university community that the Committee can get involved in and give presentations to 9. Increase ability of Committee to give presentations that reach additional audiences than existing live and local cable channels 10. Preferably live in Southold Town 1 I. We would also be amenable to amending and negotiation such terms as stated above to take advantage of the new member's sttengths I already talked to Stephanie in the Alumni Office of Stony Brook University (my undergraduate school) and she is very interested in passing this along to the student, and related community of those interested in Renewable and Alternative Energy. According to Stephanie, the University also maintains a Gmuping/Databese of students, professors, contractors, and companies and other interested parties that are interested in Renewable and Alternative Energy and leveraging these relationships and knowledge. The University also is leveraging it's ability as one of the larger and more well know State Universities to be a preeminent disseminator and resource of such information within the tri-state area. The only request made of the Committee is that we occasionally be available to give presentation to Stony Brook students and interested parties, probably at Stony Brook. While the committee would have the give the criteria for additional members to the Alumni Office, that office would circulate this to potential members first and then be contacted.
