For years, heavy-duty operators were lilmited to using Iow silicate automotive antifreeze that require the addition of a separate supplemental coolant additive (SCA) at initial fill and top off. While this was effective, it resulted in mixing errors when the SCA was added. To prevent SCA v~riability caused by mixing errors, and improve conve- n~ence, Miles Petroleum developed Evercool Antifreeze. Evercool is a fully formulated universal formula antifreeze, having the advantages of Iow total dissolved solids, Iow silicate and incorporates nitrite to provide superior wet sleeve liner caitation protection. Since ~rcool is precharged with a, high quality SCA, there is ~ need to add addition SCAs at initial fill or when topping offto compensate for SCA dilution. Additional advantages of Evercool Antifreeze include its phosphate free formula that reduces the risk of scale and state of the art corrosion inhibitors, which eliminates the need for expensive deionized water. The inhibitor system in Evercool Antifreeze is designed to last for the life system. As an added benefit, Evercool meets the perfor- mance requirements of all major automotive specifica- tions for conventional antifreeze, allowing operators of mixed fleets to stock one antirfreezee for all their vehicles, simplifying fleet maintenance procedures. In addition to a broad line of outstanding products, Miles Petroleum provides exceptional customer service and lnical support. Price Adjustments/Increases: The Town recognizes that, as is the case with diesel fuel, the market price of mineral oil-based lubricants can fluctuate widely during the course of a contract awarded pursuant to this bid, and will consider justified requests for an upward adjustment(s) in price after award. Requests for price increases based on the cost oflabor and/or materials must be supported by appropriate written documentation by the manufacturer's published price lists or similar documentary evidence. The reasonableness of the request will be determined by comparing the request with the Producer Price Index or by performing a market survey. If the Southold Town Board agrees to and approves an upward adjustment in price, the Town shall issue written approval of the change. Any approved increase(s) in price will become effective thirty (30) calendar days after a request is received, in writing, by the Office of the Southold Town Clerk, 53095 Main Rd., Southold, NY 11971. For years, heavy-duty operators were lilmited to using Iow silicate automotive antifreeze that require the addition ora separate supplemental coolant additive (SCA) at initial fill and top off. While this was effective, it resulted in mixing errors when the SCA was added. To prevent SCA variability caused by mixing errors, and improve conve~ nience, Miles Petroleum developed Evercool Antifreeze. Evercool is a fully formulated universal formula antifreeze, having the advanta9es of Iow total dissolved solids, Iow silicate and incorporates nitrite to provide n~nooPnerior wet sleeve liner caitation protection. Since rcool is precharged with a high quality SCA, there is eed to add addition SCA's at initial fill or when toppin9 off to compensate for SCA dilution.
