Soundings - 5050 New Suffolk Avenue, Mattituck
I am in receipt of a request for the Bay Constables to perform soundings at 550 New
Suffolk Avenue, Mattituck.
In an effort to improve the cooperation between your Board and our Department, we had
a meeting at Police Headquarters earlier this year. At that time, there was an agreement
that we would assist any member of the Board of Trustees in performing the soundings in
relation to the applications. Your request for the Bay Constables to perform them without
coordinating with one of the members of the Trustees is contrary to the agreement made
at that meeting.
I look forward to your contacting this office so that we can work out the details of how
we will coordinate schedules, of all parties involved, so that these inspections may be
completed in a timely fashion in order to better serve the community.

Att: Trust. s
As per my telephone conwrsation with Lauren, on October 2, 2000, I am submitting this
letter to request a meeting with the Trustees. I am requesting this meeting at 5050 New
Suffolk Ave. in Maltituek, which I am in contract to buy. This property sits on a bluff
25' above the wa~er and at this time the waterview is not visible, duc to overgrown trees
and shrubs. I would like to meet with the Trustees, m advise me on how much can be
~rimmed in order for me to be able to have a wate~view. I realize that ther~ are strict
regulations r~garding conservation and the enviornment so, I am also calling the DEC to
request permission from them to have a dock and float built, sometime in the near future.
Ple~c contact mc at your earliest conven/ence to set up a meetm$, I am ava/luble most
any day, and can be reached at 516-887-3267. Attached is a sect/on, lo! and plot
description for your information. Thank you for your consideration.
