Review and Inteqration of Comments from Public Forum: · Phillip submitted minutes/notes from public meeting for discussion and review. Editinq of Draft: HAC modified draft that was provided to the public. Phillip will edit and send to the Town Board. Preparation of Meetinq with the Town Board: HAC will meet with the Town Board on Tuesday, July 28th at 10a.m. In addition to discussing affordable apartments, members will discuss setting affordable sales and rental prices for 2009. Historically recommendations have been for sales price 2.5 times the HUD Nassau/Suffolk median income for a family of four. Rental prices are "Low Home" rates. John suggested that prices should possibly be lower to reflect the Town's median income which is lower than Nassau/Suffolk. He requested we try to get 2000 and more current data in making recommendations. Yet all agreed that we will stay with existing formula with Town Board meeting. Phillip also noted that while we are making affordable rental recommendations and setting maximum rental prices, previously resolutions had cited "affordable housing units in the AHD Zoning District, pursuant to Chapter 28030(D) of the Town Code". He will speak with the Town Attorney for clarification. Suffolk County Comprehensive Plan Housinq Data: Heather Lanza and Phillip are collecting current data of affordable housing units in the Town and Village for SC Planning. Next Meetinq Date: Wednesday, August 12th at 5:30 p.m. Supervisor's Conf. room. Resiqnation of Don Leslie, Jr. With regrets, Don has resigned from the HAC. Respectfully Submitted, Phillip Beltz
