MEETING ~23
October 17, 2007
Present: Leslie Weisman, Nancy Pester, Jenny Gould, Rona Smith, Julie Lane, reporter
Suffolk Times and Phillip Beltz. Excused: Bill Gatz, John Vahey, Sidney Holmes, Don
Leslie, Jr. and Margaret Minichini. The meeting began at 5:35 p.m.
Review of Minutes:
The September 19th minutes were approved.
Cottaqes/CDCLI Update
· Ribbon cutting is scheduled for October 30th at 1 1 a.m. It will focus on the
families moving into the Cottages.
Housinq Advisory Commission Vacancy:
· Leah Glowacki has regrettably resigned due to limited time commitment because
she is enrolled in graduate studies. Phillip suggested that her vacancy be fulfilled
from a resident who lives at the Cottages and the HAC strongly approved.
Meetinq with Sidney Holmes:
· Time constraints have kept Sidney from attending meetings however he wishes
to remain with the HAC. Phillip informed the HAC that he met with him to apprise
him of information he has missed.
Workforce Housinq Needs Assessment for Suffolk County:
· Phillip requested a copy from the county and will provide to HAC if warranted.
Accessory Apartment Requlations:
· Due to limited representation of HAC, members spent most of the meeting
discussing the process and structure that should be utilized to proceed. See
attached document and please read Town regulations prior to the next meeting
with written comments to Phillip prior to the meeting with proposed suggestions
(short and to the point, bullet format).
