MEETING ~20
May 16, 2007
Present: Nancy Pester, Bill Gatz, John Vahey, Jenny Gould, Margaret Minichini, Rona
Smith and Phillip Beltz. Excused: Don Leslie, Jr., Leah GIowacki, Sidney Holmes and
Leslie Weisman. The meeting began at 5:35 p.m.
Review of Minutes:
The April 18th minutes were approved.
Cottaqes/CDCLI Update · Applicant Status-CDCLI is executing contracts with prospective homebuyers (21
priority 1 households and 1 priority 2).
· Building construction has begun.
Housin,q Implementation Plan (HIP):
The plan was slightly refined and will be sent to the Town Board for discussion at their
work session and scheduled for a public hearing.
Affordable Housinq Developments:
· Several proposed affordable housing sites are in preliminary discussion with the
Affordable Housing Welcoming Committee.
· East Marion stakeholders have met with the Peconic Land Trust to discuss a
proposed Planned Development District that includes affordable housing. This
was a preliminary discussion and now will be vetted with the new configuration of
stakeholders as well as the general public, if warranted.
Nassau/Suffolk Income Guidelines-2007
· HUD income guidelines for Nassau/Suffolk counties were provided.
Presentation-Lonq Island Proqressive Coalition
· The HAC will host a presentation on June 20th regarding building support for
affordable housing. This will be open to the general public.

Next Meetinq Date: June 20, 2007, 5:30 p.m. at the Human Resource Ctr.
