MEETING #14
November 15, 2006
Present: Margaret Minichini, Jenny Gould, Rona Smith, Nancy Pester, Leslie Weisman
and Phillip Beltz. Excused: John Vahey, Sidney Holmes, Don Leslie, Jr., Charlie
Zaloom and Leah Glowacki. The meeting began at 5:40 p.m.
Review of Minutes:
The October 18th minutes were approved.
Cotta~es/CDCLI Update
· Analyses of Applicants-a significant proportion of applicants (in particular those
that live in the Town) are households earning less than 80% of the area median
income.
· Conveyance of Land-Suffolk County officially approved resolution to acquire
land to convey to Town and CDCLI.
· Housing Fair-Eleven regional financial lenders attended two scheduled housing
fairs in the early part of November.
· Lottery-December 9th, l0th a.m., Town Hall. All HAC members will receive
invitations to attend.
Identification of Sites-Southold:
Leslie agreed to inquire about the site across from Agway near the train tracks that the
Town once considered for Town Hall.
Hamlet Studies Update:
Several of the stakeholder groups are being re-configured to provide greater input. Leslie
will be a part of a presentation to the Planning Board to discuss Transfer of Development
Rights policies and HALO legislation.
Solicitation for Fundin~ for Housin~ Fund:
Phillip stated that he sent a request for funding from Hudson City Savings Bank.
