May 17, 2006
Present: Charlie Zaloom, Jenny Gould, Leslie Weisman, Leah Glowacki, Rona Smith,
Sidney Holmes, Lynda Clements and Phillip Beltz.
Excused: John Vahey, Margaret Minichini and Don Leslie, Jr.
The meeting commenced at 5:35 p.m.
Review o£ Minutes:
Minutes approved for April 19th.
Maintenance and Permanent Fixed Improvements Policl::
Commission members thoroughly discussed and revised the policy and application form
with the intent of simplifying it. Phillip will incorporate comments and issue another
draft for the Commission to review.
Other:
· Lynda Clements has resigned from the HAC, as she will be moving to Ossining,
NY. Her resignation will take place in August 2006.
· Phillip informed the group that the process for the "eligibility to enter the lottery"
for the Cottages of Mattituck site is as follows: CDCLI makes the first
determination of applicants' eligibility, forwarding to the office of Special
Projects Coordinator. The SPC is responsible for issuing the "Certificate of
Eligibility". The Town Board passed a resolution that "any decision of the SPC
that is appealed shall be heard by a standing committee made up of two members
of the Town Board and one member of the HAC.
· Leslie once again stressed the importance of the HAC working in concert with the
hamlet stakeholder findings as their meetings further evolve.
The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
