of the year Balance Sheet showing Total Assets in the amount of $437,299.76 and
Accounts Payable in the amount of $91,712.63; the bill register for January 2011; as
well as a Balance Sheet through January 10, 2011. There is a retainage in the amount
of $4,515.35 still outstanding for the Love Lane bulkhead and deferred revenues in the
amount of $7,450 representing % of beach permit sales due to the sale of two year
permits. J. Cushman stated that we will need a resolution next month transferring
budget items to reflect actual amounts.
Payments to the Times Review newspaper in the amount of $17.29 and to the State
Insurance Fund in the amount of $237.10 were added to the bill register bringing the
total monthly bill register to $23,223.39. We have received our property tax allocation
from the Town of Southold in the amount of $85,942.50.
Motion by C. Zaloom, seconded by D. McGreevy, all in favor and motion carded to

Maintenance Report
The Maintenance Report had been submitted by E. Grohoski and reviewed by the
Commissioners. C. Zaloom noted that leaves were raked at Bay Avenue and cracks
were noticed in the new tennis courts at Bay Avenue.
At Bailey Beach Lodge 140 lbs. of salt were put in the water conditioner and the boiler
was cleaned by the technician. C. Zaloom reports that E. Grohoski is concerned about
the Love Lane boat ramp being open to the public while construction is ongoing. There
are hazards there, but boat owners want to check their boats.
D. McGreevy suggested maybe they go around the Town side.
C. Zaloom stated he would send the maintenance crew there and see if they could
alleviate some of the hazards.
N. Deegan asked if the snow could be plowed from the area tomorrow for the meeting
with Condon and Barnish.
C. Zaloom stated he would try to get the maintenance crew there in the a.m.
He continued that the ice rescue rope and buoy were up at Wolf Pit and 5 to 10 lights go
on that do not shine toward the neighbors, therefore, should not disturb them.
Motion by C. Zaloom, seconded by N. Deegan, all in favor and motion carried to accept
the Maintenance Report as submitted.
UPDATES
RENTAL POLICIES FOR COMMUNITY ROOM AND LODGE
The Commissioners wilt meet next Monday at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the rental policies.
COMMUNITY ROOM RENOVATION
C. Zaloom reported that what remains to be done is the carpeting and painting of the
kitchen. He stated that Michelle Zaloom's friend who is knowledgeable about kitchen
design will be at the Park District next Monday to advise.
D. McGreevy reported that the chairs needed are available at BJ's and she will meet E.
Grohoski there on Friday to purchase them. She is looking into the portable dance
floor, and is meeting with the High School art teacher and Sandy Hanauer on Tuesday
to go over the design of the art murals to be placed on Community Room walls.
STORAGE SHED
C. Zaloom reported that N. Deegan is continuing his investigation into the storage
sheds available for Aldrich Lane, including bathrooms.
VETERANS PARK SIGN
C. Zaloom stated that the existing sign needs to be replaced and he will take care of it.
WEBSlTE
C. Zaloom reported that ICVM will continue this year to maintain the website and he will
call Carl Timpone, who has volunteered to help with website details and enhancement.
BUSINESS
SPORT TEAM FIELD USAGE SCHEDULES
C. Zaloom stated that L. Tortora will poll the Sport groups reminding them of the
February 1st deadline, which is when they should submit their schedule requests.
D. McGreevy informed that Mercy High School would like to rent space @ Alddch Lane
for Lacrosse. Their practices are to be held in the Spring, Monday thru Friday from 3p.m
to 5 p.m. Both boys and girls will play.
N. Deegan noted that Mattituck High School had proposed using the field at the same
time, but that it runs into the Soccer program which starts at 4:30.
D. McGreevy added that the Mercy Lacrosse team can no longer use Strawberry Fields
and they are willing to pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the fields.
C. Zaloom suggested it be discussed by the Commissioners next Monday.
N. Deegan stated that he is concerned about the beating and abuse the field takes with
Lacrosse.
C. Zaloom submitted that our goal is to do the most for the most.
LOVE LANE/PIKE STREET PARKING LOT PROPERTY
C. Zaloom reported that the Fire Department had complained about flooding and D.
McGreevy spoke to Jamie Richter from Southold Town and he believes the source of
flooding is from the property adjacent that was purchased by the Fire Department. They
paved the lawn, thereby creating a drainage problem. He does not think either the Park
District property or Goggins property is the source of the problem. C. Zaloom asked if
the Town is actionable.
D. McGreevy responded that J. Richter will consult with Town Attorney and follow up on
complaint.
C. Zaloom added that we have had no complaints since we vacuumed our drain.
D. McGreevy stated that she will follow up with a phone call to Jamie Richter.
YACHT CLUB FENCE
N. Deegan reported that he had received some proposals for the fence construction but
needed more.
C. Zaloom explained that we am removing the existing high fence and installing a 4'
fence in order to shorten the field and we will then also have room for a T-ball field.
D. McGreevy asked why we are taking it out when the high fence is safer and adds
protection from the nearby road.
N. Deegan replied for aesthetics and practicality.
C. Zaloom stated he would take a look at the possibility of a fence near the road to
catch balls, and added that the new fence will give us more open space and options.
N. Deegan explained that by taking out the 8' fence T-ball is actually moved away from
the road.
C. Zaloom notes that T-ball is a secondary use and we will evaluate it within the next
year.
Them being no further business to come before the meeting, motion by C. Zaloom,
seconded by D. McGreevy, all in favor and motion carried to adjourn the meeting at
7:42 p.m.
Res_pectfully sub~itt.~,
