A meeting of the Southold Town Land Preservation Committee was held
on Thursday, June 29, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. at Southold Town Hall.
The committee discussed the Thornton Smith appraisal. A motion was
made by Jim F~im and seconded by Jim Rich to offer Mr. Smith the
appraisal price of $265,000.00 for the development rights of his property.
All were in favor.
At this time, the Heins property will be put on hold.
The committee reviewed the applications of Lieb Vineyards, William P.
Ruland and John J. Koroleski. It was determined that Joe Gold will
contact some other appraisers, as Andy Stype has several other appraisals
to do for the committee.
The committee discussed the John Sepenoski appraisal. Joe will contact
Mr. Sepenoski and see if he will separate the 12 acres of woodland from
the property submitted in his application.
The committee also discussed the $500,000.00 matching funds that the County
is going to give for famland preservation. Joe will check with the County.
A motion was made by Jim Pim and seconded by Michael Croteau that the
committee will recommend to the Town Board that a bond referendum be placed
on the November ballot for $2,750,000.00 for farmland preservation. All were
in favor.

With no further business to be d~scussed, the meeting was adjourned
at 8:45 p.m.
