Submitted additional information to FEMA for the December 26 &
December 27, 2010 storm (Town Beach).
??
Review options and developing cost for repair of Town, Kenney’s
and McCabe’s Beaches.
??
Attended a meeting of the Executive Safety Committee and working
on several of the recommendations of the Executive Safety
Committee.
??
Attended a meeting with the Town Attorney and Jamie Richter, in
reference to the Animal Shelter.
??
On going trail maintenance on Laurel Lake, Downs Farm,
Arshamomaque, Arshamomaque Pond, Dam Pond and Mill Road
Preserves.
??
Worked with Jamie Richter compiling an Operation & Maintenance
Manual for the Animal Shelter.
??
Set up a walk through for the RFP/Animal Shelter Project.
??
Attended a meeting at the Southold Town Recreation Center in
reference to erosion issues on Long Island Sound.
??
Working with LIPA and Verizon on the removal of poles/wire at the
Bittner Preserve. Cost reimbursement from a grant from the
NYSDOS.
??
DPW staff is working on several tasks at the Peconic Community
Center and is making good progress renovating the building.
??
Replaced a street light damaged by a vehicle, on Route 25,
Cutchogue.
??
Replaced 2 broken windows at the Laurel Lake Pavilion.
??
Installed a sign and phone at the counter in the Building Department
for the ZBA, as requested by the Executive Safety Committee.
??
Installed a video screen in the Building Department Conference
Room.
??
Installed “Pick up after your dog” signs on Grathwohl and New
Suffolk Avenue (West Creek), as per Southold Trustees request.
??
Replaced the “No Dogs” sign at the New Suffolk Beach.
??
Replaced the soccer nets at Old Schoolhouse Park, East Marion.
??
Ordered 50 tons of sand/clay mix for the Southold Town Baseball
Fields.
??
The new fences (outfield and perimeter) at the Laurel Lake Park
have been installed.
