MINUTES OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 27, 1995
Present were: Joe Gold, John Simicich, Jim Rich, Michael Croteau,
and Ruth Oliva.
The committee discussed the Koroleski farm. This appraisal came in higher
than the others we had. Joe spoke with Dave Wimpelberg, the apppraiser,
and he is standing by his appraisal. Joe then spoke with Andy Stype and
he thought it was a fair appraisal, as it is a good piece Of property. A
motion was made by Joe Gold and seconded by John Simicich to offer John
Koroleski $8500.00 per acre. All were in favor.
The committee also discussed the Cassidy appraisal. This property has
some disadvantages such as: Lilco high tension wires, the L.I,R.R. tracks
and there are some wetlands. A motion was made by Joe Gold and seconded
by Michael Croteau ~o offerthe Cassidys $7000.00 per acre. All were in
favor.
Michael Croteau spoke with Mr. Ruland, who submitted an application to the
committee. Michael told him what the appraisals have been coming in at
and he is not happy with that figure.
Michael also spoke with Mr. Steele. This farm is not in active farmland
production. Joe will send a letter explaining to Mr. Steele that the law
concerning agricultural lands preservation specifically requires that the
property must be used in a bonafide agricultural production.
The committee also discussed the application of Donna Dzugas-Smith. Joe
will look at the property.
With no further business to be conducted, the meeting adjourned at
8:30 p.m.
