HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-04/01/1993 Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park Distriot held at the Park District Office on Main Road, Mattituck, New York on April 1, 1993 at 7:30 P.M. with all Commissioners present except Mr. Sabat. Also present was Mr. Cushman, Treasurer, Mrs. Haas, Secretary and Jim Cox, Custodian. The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as presented with one correction in gate guard wages on motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerry Goehringer and carried. On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerry Goehringer and carried, Kerry Pasch will be paid $5.00 per hour for the 1993 season. Therefore, another position is open. Also maintenance applications have been received. Interviews will be held on Thursday, April 29th for gate guards and maintenance. Gerry Goehringer reported that approximate cost of demolition of the Bulkhead at Vet's Park had been received from Don Grimm at $1,200.00. Jim Cox was told to get fertilizer for all the fields. Mr. Goehringer reported having received a price of $1,926 for a chipper and the head that goes with it from Mr. Scrappa of Northeastern Lawn and Garden Center. Mr. Adams and Mr. Goehringer are to go on Saturday, April 3rd to see a demonstration. Mr. Adams said the light tower the Boulevard ball park site has to be straightened. It has all the electric wires on it. Vita Italia is to be contacted about doing the job. June 21st, June 22nd and June 23rd are to be kept open at Vet's Park for the Mattituck School and Laurel School Districts picnics. A water test for the Park District has to be had before June 30th. On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerry Goehringer and carried, a survey is to be made of Vet's Park site. This is to be done at a cost not to exceed $3000.00.
