HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-11/04/1993 Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on NOvember 4, 1993 at the Park District office on Main Road, Mattituck, with all Commissioners and officers present. On motion of Gerry Goehringer; seconded by Pete Sabat and carried, the minutes after' several corrections were approved. On motion of Ed Adams, seconded by Gerry Goehringer and carried, Ray Dean is to complete the parking lot at Love Lane from the ramp out to Route 48 with stone blend. Ed Adams reported that a disabled boat tied up on the floating dock at the end of November. The people were told by Mr. Cox that the floating docks were going to be pulled out very soon. When the custodians got back a day or two later, the boat was still there. There is a sign there that says 3-hour parking. The custodian moved that boat to a spile and tied it up so that they could take out the float. The next day the boat was sunk. The owner came out and had it pumped out and hauled away. They were from Port Washington. On motion of Gerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried, Bonnie Adams and Judy Thilberg were named as tellers to serve at the vote for a Commissioner to succeed Edward Adams whose term expires December 31, 1993, and a Treasurer to succeed John Cushman whose term expires December 31, 1993. The vote will take place at the Park District office on December 9, 1993 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Present: Chairman Ed Adams, Walter Sabat, Commissioner; Gerard Goehringer, Comissioner; John Cushman, Treasurer. Absent: Madeline Haas, Secretary. Ed Adams reported that the bulkhead at Love Lane was finished. The total cost of the project was $21,461.00 On motion of Ed Adams, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, the bill was ordered paid. Ed Adams further reported that the custodians had fixed the Breakwater site. An estimate was received from Ray Nine of $2,350. to stone dust the parking lot at Love Lane if the budget allows at the end of the year. Jim Cox was told to take the flag dowm at the Love Lame site. The shuffle Board has been fixed by Sea Breeze at Veterans Memorial Park. The cracks have been fixed at the tennis courts. Sea Breeze is to keep track of this site on Bay Avenue. Ed Adams asked if anyone had given permission for the use of the Aldrich Lane site for flag football and the use of the lights. Ail three Commissioners said they had given no permission. It was reported that the electrical panel had been broken into. The lights at Sabat Field and the Yacht Club are to be turned off. Ed Adams told Jim Cox that the floats must be taken in by Novembers 1st. On motion;of ~erard;Goehringer%.;seconded by Pete Sabat and carried the following permit fees will be in effect for the 1994 season. $5.00 - Parking fees $5.00 - One Day Pass $15.00. Boat Ramp Keys Jim Cox is to have permits printed. On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried the following motions were made: Budget Modifications: From Lifeguard (Payroll)-$2400.O0 and Surplus and. Materials-S3200.00 t~Water: $1~00 and Property Repairs $5500.00 Modify annual salaries of Secretary & Treasurer to $1250.00 effective January 1, 1993.
