HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-12/09/1993 Minutes of the Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on December 9, 1993 at the Park District Office at Main Road, Mattituck, New York with all Commissioners present as was the Secretary and Treasurer. Prior to the meeting, Ed Adams swore in the tellers for the vote for Commissioner and Treasurer. He declared the polls open at 7:00 P.M. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. Telephone call from John Breen, attorney for Michael McGreevy had been received by He stated that the Jetty was not properly lighted. Mr. Wi~kham, attorney for Park District looked up a survey which shows Luther,s Road going down to the water (Long Island Sound). Ed Adams was served with s~m~ons and complaint on Dec-mher 5, 1993 at 10=45 P.M. Also received a Notice of Claim from Moore & Moore, Attorneys for Gordon Schlaefer regarding the boat that had sunk at the Love Lane site. Both actions were sent to Mr. John Shearin at Roy Reeve Insurance Agency. Ralph Tuthill talked to Pete Sabat about the purchase of a piece of land to the west of Wolf Pitt Lake. Pete is to call Mr. Tuthill and tell him its under discussion. Attorneys are to be contacted about this piece of land. Ed Adams reported that the parking lot at Love Lane was completed. On motion by Jerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried the following budget modifications were approved: To Equipment $ 500.00 Electric 1,000.00 Property Repairs 2,500.00 From Equipment Repairs $3,000.00 Telephone 1,000.00 Mr. Russell Nine attended the meeting as a representative of the Scouters Lodge. Commissioners asked Mr. Nine what was needed to finish the youth building. He said the parking lot from the road up to the top of the hill has to be black topped. An estimate of $5,000.00 was gotten. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and carried, the Park District will take care of black topping the parking lot from the road to the top of the hill at Scouters Lodge.
