Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on October
6, 1994 at the Park District office at Mattituck, New York.
Present: Chairman Edward Adams and Pete Sabat
John Cushman, Treasurer, Madeline Haas, Secretary
Absent: Gerard Goehringer
Chairman Adams reported having received the money for
the sale of the Westphalia Road, Mattituck property to
William Guyton - the amount of $17,300.00
Chairman Adams would like to have the Bay Avenue Lilco
meter replaced with a "demand" meter. To be looked into.
Chairman Adams would like to have the lights at the
Boulevard Ball Park put on a time clock to go on at 7:45
P.M. and off at 10:45 P.M. To be looked into.
A letter of appreciation from John Palatianos for use
of Veterans' Park on July 10, 1994 with a check of $50.00
enclosed as a donation.
Black top was ordered (12 55 gallon drums) for veterans
Park parking lot and any left over the custodians were going
to do the Youth Activities lot. The drums cost $145.00 per.
Chairman Adams said he had approved two new tires for
the trailer.
Mr. Cox said that the Environmentalists were getting a
new computer system and the meter has to be replaced at the
Park District office.
On October 18th Chairman Adams has to meet with Janet
Geaser and Eric Bressler for advise on examination before
trial on October 21st in the McGreevy case.
Paul Wilsberg entered to meeting to seek information
about putting up a shed on the Aldrich Lane site and fencing
in an area. It was established with Paul that the
irrigation system would be turned on in the spring by the
Park Commission and turned off at the end of the irrigation
season by the Park Commission. The Soccer League would take
care of the up-keep during the season.
A good time was discussed to have the sprinklers come on
so that it doesn't interfere with the mowing.
Paul also asked about an outdoor basketball court.
Commissioners present agreed with putting one in at the
Veterans Park site. Prices are to be gotten.

Chairman Adams reported that the tennis courts on Bay
Avenue need fencing put up and some type of lock has to be
installed to keep the roller bladers off the court.
Mr. George Wren looked over the books and quoted
$1500.00 charge which wasn't worth it. John Cushman said
that a $50,000.00 Public Official Bond could be gotten at a
cost of $115.00 for one year.
Chairman Adams reported that he had approved the
purchase of a grinding wheel from Raynor-Suter.
On motion of Ed Adams, Seconded by Pete Sabat and
carried, the 1994 Treasurer's and Secretary's salaries were
approved at $1300.00.
No meeting having been held in September, the
Treasurer's report and bills were approved by the
Commissioners and paid as follows:
