HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-11/15/1989 Minutes of regular meeting of Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park Distric held on November 15, 1989 at the Park District Office, Main Road, Mattituck, New York, with all Commissioners present. On motion of Peter Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. On motion of Peter Sabat seconded by Ed Adams and Carried the Treasurer's report as follows was approved: Regular Account $ 2,099.49 Money Market Account 21,529.04 Total $23,628.53 The following bills were ordered paid: Lilco Gen. $ 300.17 N.Y. Telephone " 178.15 Malvese Equipment " 162.87 Raynor-Suter Hardware " 265.77 Agway " 505.00 Blackman Riverhead " 14.32 Suffolk Lighting " 17.77 Mattituck Auto Parts " 60.48 Gemstone " 90.97 Cutchogue Auto Parts " 32.29 Roy Reeve Agency " 4,184.00 North Fork Press " 36.50 Traveler-Watchman " 82.02 Suffolk Times " 66.98 At this time the open informational meeting was opened. This meeting was held to give the District taxpayers the facts on the Love Lane ramp and what the taxpayers' feelings are of Soiuthold Town taking the ramp over but opening it up to the residents of Soiuthold Town. Attached is an attendance sheet. The general feeling of those attending was very negative to Southold Town's take over and at first very anti the Commissioners position of even considering the possibility. After much discussion pro and con and the taxpayers airing their genunine feelings, Ed Adams announced that a vote of the resident taxpayers would be held on November 16, 1989 at 7 P.M. at the Park District Office. No further business to come before the meeting the meeting was adjourned. Madeline S. Commissioner Ed Adams opened the polls at 7:00 P.M. Inspectors of Election sworn in were Barbara Mathews Richard Mathews Bonnie Adams Judy Thilberg Chippy Bennett Polls were declared closed at 9:00 P.M. by Commissioner Adams.
