HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-01/17/1990 Minutes of organizational meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on January 17, 1990 at the Park District Office, Main Road, Mattituck, New York with all Commissioners present. First order of business was the appointment of a Chairman for the coming year. Jerry Goehringer made a mortion, seconded by Pet Sabat and unanimously carried naming Edward Adams as Chairman for the coming year. Ed Adams made a motion, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and unanimously carried, appointing Madeline S. Haas as Secretary for the coming year. Jerry Goehringer made a motion, seconded by Ed Adams, and unanimously carried, naming the Traveler-Watchman and Suffol Times, the official newspapers of the District for the coming year. Ed Adams made a motion, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and unanimously carried, naming the firm of Wickham, Wickham & Bressler, attorneys for the District for the coming year. Jerry Goehringer made a motion, seconded by Ed Adams and unanimously carried, naming The North Fork Bank & Trust Company as official depository of the District for the coming year. Minutes of previous meeting were tabled until next meeting. The Treasurer's report was approved as read: Regular Account $ 398.82 Money Market Account 6,664.31 Total $7,063.13 The following bills were ordered paid: Lilco Gen. New York Telephone " Mattituck Auto Parts " Penny Lumber " Raynor-Suter Hardware " Roy Reeve Agency " Suffolk Lighting " Cutchogue Auto Parts " Suffolk County Water " Genstone " Russell Nine " 235,55 177.91 8.78 2.70 67.02 4,159.92 567.52 19.12 6.80 69.13 77.83 Letter was read from Southold Town Board of Trustees granting the Park Commission approval for a waiver to resurface Love Lane boat ramp with 4" to 6" of concrete on existing ramp. John Kowaleski and Chuck Berry to do work at a cost of $3850. The motor for the truck was discussed. On motion of Ed Adams, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and unanimously carried that Tyler Automotive to do the complete motor, including transmission, but cost of $4480 does not include the carburetor. North Fork Marine Construction is to put poles back in at Love Lane. Employees for spring and summer seasons 1990: Harry Charkow - $7.70 per hour Russell Nine - $7.45 per hour (part time) Gate girls: Denise Goehringer - $4.25 per hour Lynn Chituk - $4.00 per hour (only if Staey Gamble does not come back) Motion made by Jerry Goehringer, seconded by Ed Adams and unanimously carried to charge monthly meeting to the second Wednesday of the month.
