HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-03/20/1991 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held at the Park District Office on Main Road, Mattituck, New York on March 20, 1991 with all commissioners present except Jerry Goehringer. .. On motion of Peter Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were read as presented. On motion of Peter Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the Treasurer's report was approved as follows: Checking Account Mone~Market Account C.Ds. Total 153.00 4,901.33 126.000.00 $131,054.37 Bills presented for payment as follows: Patchogue Stationary Academy Printing Service C.F.Van Duzer Cutchogue Auto Parts Lilco Motex Petroleum, Inc. New York Telephone Penny ~mher Raynor-Suter Hardware Talbot Truck & Equipment The Travelers 73.37 657.85 129.50 120.17 279.17 62.50 207.28 97.76 324.87 1,981.44 1,138.66 Mr. Block and Mr. Reilly from the new laundromat entered the meeting to discuss the letter the Park District had written and the manner in which it was delivered.. They were upset with its contents about the use of the pa~king lot adjoining their property on Love Lane. The Commissioner reassured them that the letter did not mean they could not use the parking lot only that heavy equipment and supplies could not be left on the parking lot grounds. They asked if the curb could be taken out behind the laundromat edging the parking lot. Commissioners could see no reason why it could not be done. Also the easement was discussed between the Market Place and Love Lane Laundromat. Secretary to speak to Mr. Wickham about the liability and get back to the men. Mr. Roger Munz entered the meeting requesting the use of the park facilities to run races off the beach mostly at the Yacht Club site. Permission granted but liability insurance must be given ahead of time. The ball park site and the caved in ground was discussed. Mr. Wickham to be contacted about what legally should be done. The C6mmissioners agreed that there will be only four lifeguards.this year - 2 at Vets Park end 2 at the Breakwater. Secretary instructed to publish the concession, notice for bids in the newspaper. On motio~ of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried the attached resolutions were approved. The Treasurer gave a run downon insurance overages and possible changes. He would like to see the package go out to bid. 'Also an engineer should come from the companies to go around to the sites and suggest coverage.
