HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-05/15/1991 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on May 15, 1991 at the Park District office with all commissioners present. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Edward Adams and carried, the minutes were approved as presented. A new gate guard, Melissa Moelius was appointed in place of the Capt. Kidd man who said he would be interested. Mr. Adams is to consult with with Mr. Reilly and Mr. Block of the Love Lane Laundromat regarding the walkway easement. Jim Cox contacted the N.Y. Telephone Company regarding moving the telephone out of the building at the Love Lane site and putting it outside. The Company gave a price of $500.00 plus. The phone is to stay inside. North Fork Catholic School was given the okay to have the use of Vets Park on June 18, 1991 for their picnic. The pipe at the Ball Park site was tabled. The gate guards salaries for the 1991 summer season are: Bonnie Mathews - $5.50, Denise Goehringer - $5.25, and Melissa Moelius - $5.00. The bids for the concession at Vets Park were opened. Mrs. Charles Columbo did not bid. Tim Poplaski bid $500.00. Tim's bid was accepted with $250.00 paid on signing the contract and the balance of $250.00 on or before June 30, 1991. Refuse removal was discussed. 3 30 gallon containers are to be put at the Love Lane site on a trial basis. A notation is to be put on park permits that Park District is not responsible for refuse removal. Permittee is responsible. Jim Cox's work order approved by Commissioners. On motion of Jerry Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLVED that Carl Miska be appointed as Season Custodian at a rate of $5.25 per hour for a maximum of 500 hours for the 1991 season, and RESOLVED that the 1991 budget be modified as follows to appropriate funds for pension benefits: To: Pension benefits - $2000.00, From: Medical Insurance - $2,000.00. Jim Cox asked permission to put a light on the flag at Vets Park so flag can stay up all the time. Commissioners granted permission. Floats and docks are all in at the Love Lane site.
