HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-04/17/1991 Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on April 17, 1991 at the Park District Office on Main Road, Mattituck, New York with all Commissioners and officers present. Chairman Adams called the meeting to order. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and carried, the minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. The Treasurer's report was as follows: Now Account Money Market Account C.D. $ ,258.57 25,714.38 100,000.00 On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and carried, the Treasurer's report was accepted as presented and the following bills ordered paid. Tylers Automotive, Inc. $180.63 169.43 202 29 29~ 58 72 86 64 80 4 95 36 00 29 00 6.80 366.70 3,345.26 156.11 Pete Sabat suggested that Mr. Cox be present at all meetings to report what had been done the month before by the custodial staff and what still had to be done. Mr. Adams reported discussing the easement to Love Lane and Mr. Reilly and Mr. Block are agreeable to same. Mr. Wickham to be contacted to draw up agreement. The Historical Society lawns will be mowed until Memorial Day. The custodians would like to put a soda machine at the foot of Love Lane. The machine would be there venture. The Commissioners agreed that this could be done but that it must be filled off Park District time and that the Commissioners would charge $15.00 per month for electricity. The Commissioners agreed that the telephone at the Love Lane site is to be moved outside and the phone up-dated. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and carried, the attached resolutions were approved. The gate guards at Veterans Park will receive ~$5.00 per hour for the 1991 summer season. Jerry Goehringer and Mr. Wickham toured the ball park site to view the collapsing earth due to the pond across the street and collapsed pipe. Jerry reported calling Frank Bonacci of Bohn Bonacci regarding the problem. Mr. Wickham wants a survey showing where existing pipe is and where new pipe should go. Mr. Bonacci said he would but that the Park District has to advertise through SEQR. With no cost to the Park District and Town, Mr. Bonacci will come out to estimate the cost from an engineers point of view. Commissioners agreed to the above. Treasurer, John Cushman is doing a study on the coverage of all sites. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Jerry Goehringer and carried, $200.00 per month for ten months will be contributed to Jim Cox's annuity.
