Ed Adams reported that Jim Cox is taking care of the
sign for the walkway by the laundromat.
Ed received a call from John Hinch of the Mattituck
Chamber of Commerce. They will purchase 8 to 10 trees that
would be at our disposal to plant at the end of the
Christmas season. They would like to know where the
District will be planting the trees. Commissioners have
agreed to plant them at Wolf Pit Lake.
Ed talked to Ray Jacobs and as of this date nothing has
been heard from Vector Control for the Peconic Bay sit.
On motion of Jerry Goehringer, seconded by Ed Adams and
carried, the following resolution was passed:
RESOLVED that the Commissioners of the Mattituck Park
District authorize the following 1991 Budget modifications:
From: Hospital & Medical Insurance $2,500.00
To: Park Salaries, Seasonal 500.00
Telephone 1,000.00
Legal counsel 1,000.00
A letter was received from Roger stone with a $50.00
donation because of the hospitality and condition of the
Love Lane site.
Peggy Litchhult spoke about the ball park site. She
wanted to get the information first hand as to whether the
kids could play there or not. Commissioners are to have Jim
Cox open it on weekends that the weather is still good from
September 15th to November 15th. She will return in the
spring to see when it can be open for the kids at that time.
Secretary instructed to put notice in the newspapers
for receiving sealed bids for a 4 x 4 dump truck for the
Mattituck Park District. Bids will be open at the November
20th meeting. Specifications can be picked up at the office
of Wickham, Wickham & Bressler and the dump truck is to be
turned in.
No further business to come before the meeting, the
meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted
Madeline S. Haas
Secretary
