District held on December 2, 1999, at the Park District Office on Main Road, Mattituck,
New York, with all Commissioners, Edward Adams, Gerard Goehringer and Walter
Sahat; Commissioner Elect Chris Talbot; Treasurer, John Cushman; Secretary, Madeline
Haas, present. Also presem: Russell Nine and Jim Cox.
On motion of Gerard Ooehringer, seconded by Walter Sahat and carried, the
minutes oftbe November meeting were approved as presented.
Gerard Goehringer congratulated Edward Adams on his job of Commissioner for
the past fifteen years and asked him to please come to the employees' luncheon.
On motion of Walter Sabat, seconded by Gerard Goehringer and carried, the
following Treasurer's report was approved and the following bills ordered paid:

Correspondence:
Lntter addressed to Mr. Russell Nine from North Fork Early Learning Center with
check enclosed for the use oftbe Scouters' Lodge for the summer of 1999. The letter
mentioned things that were damaged and it will be in touch to see which ones the
Commissioners feel North Fork Early Learning Center was responsible for. It would also
like thc usc of the Lodge next summer.
Gerard Goehringer asked Mr. Nine to check to see what the Learning Center is
responsible for.
Motion made by Gerard Gochringer, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, not to
have tim Learning Center return. Letter to be sent to the Learning Center so advising.
Letter received from American Diabetes Association asking for the use of~be
Veterans' Park site as a water stop for the cyclists of their 9* Annual Tour de Cure to be
held on June 11, 2000, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On motion ofF_Award Adams,
seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, permission was granted and secretary to so notify
the Association.
Letter from Town of Southold regarding the Alarm System Law which pertains to
the Scouters' Lodge. First false emergency alarm each calendar year- No Charge;
Second false emergency alarm each calendar year - No Charge; Third and all subsequent
false emergency alarms each calendar year - $100.00. No fines were made.
John Sheren of Roy Reeve Agency advised that the Scouters' Lodge insurance
can be put in the name of Mattituck Park District just as it has been.
Charges for the Scouter's Lodge for those who wish to use it are to be referenced
and agreed upon as soon as possible. However, when someone wishes to use the Lodge
all papers (application fee, check and liability insurance endorsement) must be received
30 days prior to the date of use.
Mr. Goehringer reported that Wooden Environment is going out of business. Jim
Cox to bring in catalog in January.
Gerard Goehringer reported telling Zaweski we are to pick up the old ~actor. It
will b~ stored until we know what we are.going to do with it.
Gerard Goehringer reported going to John Deere and could get a 4600 4-wheel '
drive tractor on state contract for $16,092.00 and a 460 loader for $2804.00
On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerard G~hr~ger and carried, a
4600 4-wheel drive John Deere on state contract for $16,092.00 ~ purchased, and a 460
loader for $2,804.00 also be purchased.
On motion of Edwaard Adams, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, a Dell
Computer is to be purchased at a price of $1,896.18.
Edward Adams reported that the School Board of Mattituck-Cutchogue School
District has agreed to go ahead with the basketball court at Aldrich Lane.
On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerard Goehringer and carried, the
following budget modification resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED to take from Debt Service Interest $ 1,009.00
And transfer it to Supplies & Materials $1,000.00

On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, the
following budget modification resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED to take from Debt Service Interest $ 2,000.00
And transfer it to Equipment $2,000.00
On motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Gerard Goehringer and carried, the
following budget modification resolmion was adopted:
RESOLVED to take from Site Improvements $ 2,500.00

Legal Counsel 1,500.00
Commissioner Fees 500.00
Beach Manager 200.00
Debt Principal 400.00
Debt Service Interest 4,460.00

And transfer it to Equipment - $18,900.00.
This being Edward Adams last meeting as a Commissioner, Commissioners
Goehringer and Sabat, Treasurer Cushman and Secretary Haas thanked Edward Adams
for ali he had done for the District and wished him well in the future.
No further business to come before the meeting, on motion of Edward Adams,
seconded by Walter Sabat and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
