HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-09/17/1992 Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on September 17, 1992 at the Park District Office with all Commissioners present except Gerard Goehringer. Minutes were approved as presented by Secretary. The Treasurer,s Report was approved as follows on motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Edward Adams and carried: Cash $ 547.02 Time Deposit 98,605.13 Total $$ 99,152.15 The following bills were ordered paid on motion of Edward Adams, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried: 527.04 MALVESE KQUIPM~qT CO., ! 1,557.06 8.42 MOBIL 259.93 On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the bill of S & L for work at the ball park site was ordered paid: For irrigation For Seeding & Fertilizer For Top Soil Total $2,500.00 2,150.00 1,850.00 $6,500.00. On motion of Pete Sabat seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the bill for $1,991 for a gas hot water heater the park district office was ordered paid. for A discussion followed regarding the Roller Hockey court. An estimate of $9,940 from Corazzini for black top was received, The women interested, Anne Bialeski, Pat Clark and Peggy Litchhult reported that they were going to start a fund raiser. Mr. Ken Reeve from the Southold Town Recreation Department attended the meeting. He asked for the last week in June and first week in July each year for use of the Park District beach for swimming lessons. Mr. Reeve also stated he trains people for life guards. He holds a first aid class at Southold high school in the fall. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried swimming lessons may be held at one of the park district beaches each year the last week of June and the first week in July. Men's Flagg Football teams use Aldrich Lane on Tuesdays and Thursday. They are going to be asked for $20.00 for each night used to defray the cost of lighting. Jim Cox is to cut lights off by November 1, 1992 for both ball fields. On motion of Ed Adams, seconded by Pete Sabat and carrSed, the pay phones at Love Lane and Vet's Park are to be m6ved outside. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the following resolution was adopted: Resolved to transfer funds of $5,000.00 from Property Repairs to Parking Attendants' salaries $200.00, Part time salaries $2,000.00, and Electricity $2,800.00. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Ed Adams and carried, the following resolution was adopted: Resolved to transfer $3,600.00 from Property Repairs to Equipment for a computer, printer, program, supplies. Civil Service needs duty statements for all positions and needs CS-150 forms for all employment changes.
