Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held at the
Park District office on January 7, 1993 with all
Commissioners present:
First order of business was to appoint a Chairman for
the 1993 year. On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Gerard
Goehringer and carried, Edward Adams was appoint Chairman
for 1993.
Mr. Adam~ then asked for a moment of silence in memory
of Robert Muir who passed away. Mr. Muir was our
coordinator of life guards.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat
and carried, $100.00 is to be forwarded to Mattituck
Community Fund in memory of Robert Muir.
On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Gerard Goehringer
and carried, Madeline S. Haas was appointed Secretary for
the 1993 year.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat
and carried, The Long Island Traveler Watchman was named as
official newspaper of the District for 1993.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat
and carried, Wickham, Wickham & Bressler, attorneys, were
named as attorneys for the District for 1993.
On motion of Pete Sabat, seconded by Gerard Goehringer
and carried, Suffolk County National Bank, North Fork Bank
and Fleet Bank of Southold were named as official banks of
the District for 1993.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat
and carried, the minutes of the December meeting were
approved as read.
The Treasurer's report was approved on motion of Gerard
Goehringer, seconded by Pete Sabat and carried as follows:

Gerard Goehringer reported that 354 feet of bulkheading
at the Love Lane site was not in good condition. Estimate
of restoring the bulkheading was $88,500.00.
An estimate of $4,390 was quoted for re-stabilizing and
re-asphalting the Veteran's Park parking lot.
An estimate of $7,188 was quoted for re-stabilizing
with stone blend and re-asphalting the Yacht Club parking
lot.
The aboye two estimates are to be put in as claims due
to storm damage.
An estimate of $8,960 was quoted for cleaning up the
Breakwater beach.
Jim Cox is to see Howard Wells regarding the beach
clean up.
On motion of Ed Adams, seconded by Gerard Goehringer
and carried, salaries for 1993 for Harry Char~o~! Russell
Nine, Jim Cox, Bert Walker, Betty Tyler, and ~-~ Miska are
to remain the same as last year with adjustment to be made
at a later date.
On motion of Ed Adams, seconded by Gerard Goehringer
and carried, Barbara Droskoski was named as beach
coordinator and supervisor of life guards for the 1993
season at a salary of $2500.00. Secretary instructed to
write to Mrs. Droskoski inviting her to attend the March
meeting.
The Treasurer's and Secretary's salaries were to remain
the same as last year also.
No further business to come before the meeting, the
meeting was adjourned.
