HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-11/19/1986 Minutes of regular meeting of the Mattituck Park District Commissioners held on November 19, 1986 at 7:30 P.M. at the Park District Office on Main Road, Mattituck, New York with all Commissioners present except Mr. Gerry Goehringer. Minutes for meeting tabeled. Treasurer's report accepted as read: Regular Accoutn $ 524.34 Money Maker Account 26,412.32 Storm Nelson Account 10,721.04 Total $37,657 .7O The following bills were approved for payment: Lilc~~ Gen. $707.87 N. Y. Telephone " 202.13 North Fork Press 40.15 Nine & Jessup 15.93 Southampton Lumber 630.06 Dwight Edstrom 200.00 Mattituck Auto Parts 108.53 Capt. Kidd 58.05 Glenn Bradley 235.00 Commissioners reported that the fence along Bay Avenue has been started. The hydrant or pipe is to be cut back but the arch is to be left "as is". Mr. Goehringer did not get in touch with Mr. Corazzini about re-paving. Commissioners reported that the well for Aldrich Lane has been taken care of. The well is to be put ~n by the end of December. Co~issioners reported that the lights are working at Wolf Pit Lake. Benches and playground equipment is to be ordered before December 31st. North Fork Environmentalists objected to not being able to use building Saturday and Sunday. Rental agreement to be changed to show 7 days a week. Also eliminate the answering of the telephone. They are to pay for the oil. Gas heaters are being installed at Veterans' Park in the shop. Secretary to write a letter to Mr. Zahra about $250 due Park District for cesspool at Pike Street Site. Mr. Latham is to be contacted about dredging the Wolf Pit Lake to get ready for skating. Mr. Cox to check on shrubs for the flag pole at the Love Lane site. Also to get a figure for fence on Aldrich Lane. Howard Wells to be asked to move the poles laying on the ground on the east side of the property on Aldrich Lane. He should also clean section behind the fence on the west side. Town is going to remove old lites and install the new light~ at the ball park site on Boulevard. Jim Cox to get a new rototiller for up.~to $1800. A heavy duty bumper ordered from Riverhead Ford for pick-up for $157. Secretary to write letter to Riverhead Ford stating District owns 1986 Ford Ranger and 1981 Ford Flatbed truck. Jim Cox and Fred Haas will be able to sign for any services on these to vehicles. Jim Cox to order re-chargeable flashlight for mounting in the pick-up. Commissioners discussed having a meeting with Cutchogue Park Commissioners regarding merging of two districts.
