HomeMy WebLinkAboutMPD-04/24/1985 Minutes of regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District held on Apri~ 24, 1985 at the Park Building, Main Road, Mattituck with all Commissioners present except Mr. Frank Murphy. Mr. Graeb, the Treasurer, also not present, but sent his report. Minutes approved of previous meeting. Treasurer's report approved as read: Money Maker Account Regular Account Total $77,825.37 1,325.59 $79,150,96 The following bills were ordered paid: LILCO N.Y.Telephone Academy Printing Roy H. Reeve Tryac Agway Lou's Service Station Raynor-Suter Southampton Lumber Robert L. Bergen Oil Metro Rental Mattituck Sharpeners Blackman, Riverhead Gen o $ 69.76 19.41 166.15 3040.00 187.60 225.00 2.74 3.85 46.07 111.10 80.00 245.38 896.15 Mr. Jim Cox, custodian of District, and Mr. Russell Nine, Scout representative, were also present at the meeting The Commissioners were concerned about twe jetties. The east jetty at Memorial Park and the west jetty at the Bail Park site. Pat Garrig had been contacted. If the price is under $2500 for the Memorial jetty he will be told to do it. Mr. Goehringer is to see Mr. Morphy abont the Superintendent of Highways oiling the Parking lot at the bali field. Mr. Goehringer asked for permission to purchase a small conference table and 6 chairs from Patchogue Stationery for the meeting room at an estimated cost of $400 - $450. Commissioners so granted. Mr. Cox said he needs blades for the Hustler. Mr. Cox has Michael Hussnatter working at $5.00 per hour and Jeff Starzee at $4.50 per hour. Jack McNulty and Peter Sabat have not been in touch with him yet. Grucci's are going the fireworks on July 4th at the Bailey Beach Site (Lions, Mattituck Fire Department and Mattituck Chamber of Commerce). A donation of $500 was unanimously approved by the Commissioners. Mr. Adams is to go to firehouse on Monday, April 29 for more details on the fireworks. Commissioners agreed that 3 or 4 students were needed for ticket takers . Meeting adjourned.
