Park District held on October 11, 2001, at the Park District Office on Main Road,
Mattituck, New York, with all Commissioners present (Chris Talbot, Chairman, Waiter
Sabat and Gerard Goehringer), together w/th John Cushman, Treasurer, Madeli~e S.
Haas, Secretary, J;im Cox, Sr.,Labor Crew Leader, Gall Faircloth, Gate Guard
Coordinator, Klm Prokop, Playground Committee person, and Warren Samhach,
Architect.
Chairman Talbot opened the meeting at 7:00 P.M.
On motion of Chris Talbot, seconded by Walter Sabat and carded, the minutes of
the September meeting were approved as presented.
Chris Talbot read a letter from North Fork Volleyball League thanking the
Cormmissioners for the use of the voIlleyball courts at Breakwater Beach site.
Kim Prokop reported speaking to the Vice President of Miracle Recreation
Equipmemt Co., Inc. about the large slide at the Veterans' Park site. He told Klm we
have the follow/ng options:
1. The company can come and take it away;
2. Replace it with something else, or
3. They could leave the climber and receive a credit from Miracle for the slide.
Klm is to get back to the company and report back to the Commissioners.
Klm is to call the State about the proposed money for the playground construction
that had been pledged by Mr. LeValle and Ms. Acampora of NYS government.
The Commissioners then discussed the proposed building at the Veterans' Park
site. They think it would be best to put up a smaller building (42' x 70') made of cement
block with bathrooms, kitchen and offices on the north side of the building. Mr.
Sambach said he would revise the original drawings and send us the floor plan for
approval.
On motion of Gerard Goehringer, seconded by Clms Talbot, and carried, the
following Treasurer's report was approved and the bills ordered paid as shown below:

Jim Cox reported that Mr. Nekkerman had installed the new key pads at Bailey
Beach and the doom have been re-keyed. The alarm system - the key paid to be upstairs.
All outs/de doom are re-keyed also.
Jim Cox said he needs a p one at Scouter s Lodge.
Chris Talbot is to call all scout leaders to attend the November meeting.
All cell phones are to be disconnected.
No further business to come before the meeting, on motion of Chris Talbot,
seconded by Walter Sahat and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
