RESOLUTION 2011-156 ADOPTED DOC ID: 6643 THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION NO. 2011-156 WAS ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON FEBRUARY 15, 2011: RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes Supervisor Scott A. Russell to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Hamptons Collegiate Baseball~ Inc. for the use of the facilities at Cochran Park for the 2011 baseball season, subject to scheduling by the Southold Recreation Department and further subject to Hamptons Collegiate Baseball filing a One Million Dollar Certificate of Insurance with the Town Clerk's Office, naming the Town of Southold as additional insured, all in accordance with the approval of the Town Attorney. Neville Southold Town Clerk RESULT: ADOPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Albert Krupski Jr., Councilman SECONDER: Vincent Orlando, Councilman AYES: Ruland, Orlando, Talbot, Krupski Jr., Evans, Russell ORIGINAL Memorandum of Understanding MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, dated February 2,2011, between the Town of Southold, a municipal corporation located at 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York and Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, Inc. a 501©3 charitable organization, with a mission of bring free family baseball games and entertainment to the towns and villages of the East End of Long Island. The Office of Assemblyman Dan Losquadro has designated Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, Inc. as the sole recipient of funding for the purpose of improving the Jean Cochran Park Baseball field, a municipal park, in the Town of Southold. The proposed improvements include an electric scoreboard, dugouts and a batting cage. All materials required for the improvements will be purchased by Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, Inc., subject to actual funding available. The work necessary to the installation of the one or more of the improvements are subject to the Town's procurement policy. Any labor required to complete the project will be preformed by employees of the Town of Southold unless otherwise agreed to by the parties, The Town of Southold is the owner of the Baseball Field located at Jean Cochran Park, Peconic Lane, Peconic, NY and authorization has been granted to Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, Inc. to renovate and improve the Cochran Park Baseball Field. The subject field is the venue for the baseball activities of the Town of Southold, the public and Hamptons Collegiate Baseball. The Town of Southold will continue to own and maintain the above facility, as a municipal park, once the improvements have been made by the Hamptons Collegiate Base~ Scott A.
