HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/27/1980 At a meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Orient-East Marion Park District held on the 27th day of October, 1980. WHEREAS, the annual election of the Orient-East Marion Park District is to be held on the 9th day of December, 1980, and WHEREAS, this Board desires to provide for such election, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED (1) That such election shall be held on the 9th day of December, 1980, at the Schoolhouse of the Oysterponds Union Free School District, Main Road, Orient, 'New York, between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M~ during which time ,the polls will remain open for the receipt of ballots. (2) That candidates for district offices shall file their names with the Secretary of the Board of Commissioners at least eleven (11) days prior to the date of the district election and that such nominations be submitted in petition form subscribed by twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the district. (3) That Pamela J. Schineller and Gail Ak Comer are hereby designated to act as Election Inspectors and Ballot Clerks during such election. (4) That the Secretary of the Board of Commissioners be and hereby is authorized and directed to give notice of such election by publishing the required notice thereof at least twenty (20) days prior to such election in a newspaper having general circulation in the district. (5) That the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners b$ and hereby is authorized and directed to make the necessary arrangements for the use of the Oysterponds Union Free School District schoolhouse for the holding of such elec- tion and that the Chairman make the necessary arrangements for ballots to be used at said election. ~ /~ ~ //~ / ~
