Meeting of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park Commission was held
on t he above date.
Commissioners Frank B. Rogers and Basil D, Emo were present.
Bill from Fred Eaeltn for $42.95 for insurance on Comfort Station
under construction had been received and paid.
Treasurer ~eported a balance on hand as of May 1, 1963 of
$803.$9 in the Regular Account.
The matter of landscaping the grounds around the comfort station
at the Beach was discussed. Chairman D'Emo agreed to contact Frank
Abrams and Ralph Sterling regarding the ~ost of the work.
Clerk was instructed to run an AU in the Long Island Traveler
for 2 weeks to fill the p~s~itions of life guards at the Beach this
s,,mmer. The Beach is to open the last week in June and close the day
after Labor Day. Salary is to be $1.75 per hour.
Estimate from Midgley & Horton to plaster the comfort station
instead of paint, at a cost of $200. was approved.
Commissioner Frank Rogers agreed to take care of the purchase
of an aluminum or fiber glass boat, not to exceed 12 feet.
It was decided to have a sign made stating" This Beach is
for the exclusive use of Cutchogue-New ~uffolk Residents and their
Guests".
Partial pa2men~ of $3000. from the Special Fund was paid on
May 6, 1963 to Midgley & Horton for construJ3t.i~ of the Comfort Statio$
The Balance is to be paid when Job is complete and acceptec.
There being no further business, the meeting adJot~rned.
