Review of Minutes:
Minutes approved for December 08, 2010.
Update of Resale of Cottages:
Contract remains in process.
Guest Speaker: Les Scheinfeld of Habitat for Humanity:
Les provided an overview of
Habitat’s services. HAC agreed that organization’s mission of building singular housing units for
less than moderate income families would benefit Town and partnership would benefit Housing
chapter of Comprehensive Plan. In addition HAC will sponsor/host a community informational
meeting that will highlight their services and potentially draw partners from schools and churches
to support their efforts. Rona suggested possibility of Habitat’s ability to build/create affordable
accessory apartments however this does not fall within their mission.
Federal Housing Finance Agency House Price Index Historical Perspective:
Tabled.
Comprehensive Plan Update:
Community meetings were scheduled for Economic chapter and
significant input was provided.
Sanitary Flow Credit Resolution:
January 18, 2011 resolution passed by the Town Board setting SFC at $10,000 per credit to create
accessory apartment and $12,500 per credit to create a single family house.
Southampton Sales Price and Rental Formula Multipliers:
Beth forwarded legislation
developed by the Town of Southampton regarding their affordable housing sales and income
limits. This will be discussed at the next meeting.
