Minutes- Feb. 27~ 1965 Meeting
Meeting of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk P~rk Commission was held on
the above date at 9:30 A.M. at the home of Frank B. Rogers.
Commissioners Corwin Grathwoh!, Hobert Rehm and Frm~k B. Rogers were
present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read.
Letter dated Fgb. 19, 1965 from the U.S. Army Engineers regarding
dredging in Little Creek and Little Peconic Bay at Cutchogue, L.I. were
read and discussed. The commissioners were definitely opposed to having
the spoil from the dredging of Little Creek placed ont he property on the
Little Peconic Bay Side. However, all were infavor of having unlimited spoil
placed on the B~madwater~s cove s~de. Letter dated Mar. l, 1965 notified
the Army Engineers of the above decisions. Copy of letter was also sent
to Supervisor Albertson.
Treasurer reported a check for $782.00 received from the 1964-65
Tax Levy .
The matter of inst~lling benches at the beach was discussed. Corwin
~rathwohl volunteered to contact the Riverhead Cement Block Co.,
regarding the cost. Cormnissioners agreed to purchase 6, the cost to be
paid out of the Special Fund.
The need for a Venti-Breather oral resuscitator at the Beach was
d~scussed. Clerk was instructed to order one.
Clerk was also authorized to purchase a filing cabinet when necessary.
The purchase of beach property at the Sound was discussed.
Cormmissioners adjourned to go to the beach and look over the property
under discussion.
Meeting adjourned.
