Rogers. Commissioners Robert Rehm, Frank Rogers and Patrick Gorman were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted. Treasurer Frank Rogers reported that a check for $2,173.16 had been received from the Town of Southold 1967-1968 Tax Levy. Check had be~n deposited in the North Fork Bank & Trust Co. on Apr. 19, 1968 in the Regular Fund. Bi!ls:~totaling $43.19 had been paid since the Jan. 5th. meeting: Dist. Director of Internal Revenue Fred Kaelin- Bond of Treasurer L. I. Traveler- Letterheads L.I. Traveler- Election Notice $14.00 withholding tax 13.00 5.?5 lO.~d~ Treasurer reported a balance on hand in the Regular Fund of $4,569.81 and $119.90 in the S~.cial Fund. Commr. Patrick Gormsn stated he had checked on the "Vincent Property" and learned the parcel had been sold in Oct. 1967. Mr. Gorman spoke regarding the purchase of the "McBride Property" on the Sound. The a~king price is $75,000. Commissioners agreed the price is too high. Noac~on taken. Purchase of the "Fleet Property "was discussed. Fleet family willing to sell parcel to the Cutche~m,New Suffolk Park District and Pequash Club. Commissioners to meet with the Pequash Club committee on Monday, April 29th. at 7 P.M. Chairman stated he would contact William Beebo of the Pequamh Club committee ~o see if this data and time is satisfactory to the committee. Commissioner~Frank Rogers st~ed the~ach at the Causeway had been graded. Mr. Dean, Supt. ~f Highways had also been contacted. He st~ ed the new road would b · to the west of the pre,ent road. Ne also st~ed it is necessary for the C~mnty Engineers to make test borings. If the report is favorablm , the road will be started . It was unanimously agreed to hire Dennis Haeg of Mattituck as lifeguard for the 1968 season and also to hire Robert M~:ir ~s Beach Manager for the 1968 season. Commissioner Patrick Gorman offered the use of a cabinet to store First Aid Supplies at the Comfort Station at the Beach.
