BY ORDER OF THE T(~{ BOARD OF THE TOWN
OF SOUTHOLD. SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK
By Albert W. Richmond
Town Clerk
SUPERVISOR MARTOCCHIA: At this time I will hear anyone
who wishes to s~eak on the subject matter in favor of this
proposition.
RICHARD CRON, ESQ.: I am here on behalf of the Cutchogue-
New Suffolk Park District. I believe it is necessary to purchase
this land to meet the future needs of the district. I think
everything has been said in the notice. The propositione by
large, is for the acquisition of land~ at an estimated expense
of $11,000~ the consturction of a building~ at the estimated
expense of $11,000~ and miscellaneous equi~ent, at an estimated
expense of $1,500~ the total being an estimated expense of
$23~500.
Mr. Cron presented a survey of the property for anyone
who wished to inspect it.
M~. WTT.T.~/~WICK~L~, ESQ.= I advocate the purchase of
this property. The Cutchogue-I~ew Suffolk Park District has
been very slow in acquiring land for it's district. As for
the pricee I think it is a reasonable figure. The area is
growing very fast and there is very little bay property left
to buy. it won't be long before there is no more left.
think we should acquire everything we possibly can while we
have the opportunity.
FLORENCE RABUANO: What is the area of the property to
be purchased?
SUPERVISOR MARTOCCHIA: It has approximately 70 feet
on the bay side. 165 feet on West Road.
FLORENCE RABL~%NO: No, I mean in what district?
SUPERVISOR MARTOCCHIA: The Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park
District.
SUPERVISOR MARTOCCHIA: Is there anyone present who
wishes to speak in opposition?
' (There was no response.)
SUPERVISOR MARTOCCHIA:
