Dear Members of the Board:
Please be advised that this office represents the owners of
premises known on the Suffolk County Tax Map as District 1000,
Section 055.00, Block 05.00, Lot 10. Attached hereto is a
copy of the survey as well as the tax map showing the
premises.
My clients purchased these premises over a year ago thinking
that they had an absolute right under the Constitution of the
United States and New York to use the premises as then zoned.
In the meantime, the Town Board,Las seen fit, put a town-wide
moratorium in effect on all business properties, which this
property is presently zoned for. My clients have learned that
under the new proposed Master Plan, these premises would be
limited to use as limited business which is a use
substantially less than what it is presently zoned for. If
this is done, they feel that they would have suffered
additional financial hardship and the property will then be
less valuable and its use more strictly limited.
My clients implore the board to not take the recommendations
of the so-called planners and leave this property in its
present business use.
